Molcolm Peterson To Mosonite ln Execulive Posf

Appointment of Malcolm K. Peterson to the position of vice-president, marketing, was announced by John M. Coates, president of Masonite Corporation. In his new position, Peterson will direct the company's sales and marketing activities, reporting to Paul B. Shoemaker, executive vice president.

Prior to accepting his new appointment with Masonite, Mr. Peterson was vice president of marketing administration for the United States Plywood Corporation. He joined them after being mustered out of the navy, following World War II, with the rank of lieutenant commander. He holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Lawrence College and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School.

A specialist in building materials marketing, Mr. Peterson begins his duties with the world's leading hardboard manufacturer September 10.
