Well known Sacramento lumberman, F. R. "Ferry" Beckstrom, joined the Steiner Lumber Company organization last month. Ferry had for many years been manager of Diamond National's big Sacramento yard.

Bob Mosby, former assistant to Glen Deitz, sales manager of Diamond National at Red Bluff, has been assigned to new duties with L.P.M. (Lumber Products Merchandising) Co. at Red Bluff.

On the mend after a three weeks bout in the hospital, Maury Daubin is recover- ing nicely and slated to return soon to his duties as manager of Sterling Lumber Company at Mt. View.

Forsyth Hardwood's I'. R. "Bob" Kahn, and his bride, Norma, are busily packing their gear for a two months cruise through the Mediterranean. Bob and Norma will leave right after the lirst of October and their cruise ship will hit all the major ports in the Mediterranean including a side trip up to the Black Sea and stopovers at Yalta and Odessa (USSR's Hyannisport). The Kahns plan to return to England during mid-December where they'll board the Queen Elizabeth for their return to New York. During Bob's absence, I)ick Quarg, general manager of Forsyth Hardwood, will hold down the merry olde forte.
