A special symposium on the timely subject of small forest ownership will be a feature of the annual meeting of the Society of American Foresters, October 2l-24, at the Dinkler Plaza Hotel, Atlantao Ga.

This annual meeting, the 62nd since the Society's founding in 1900, is expected to attract 1,500 professional foresters and guests; Sottie 70 papers will be presented in ten technical sessions devoted to all aspects of forestry technology in all major forest regions of the nation. These sessions will cover such topics as economics and policy, forestry education, Iorest fire, forest management, forest products, forest recreation, forest-wildlife, range management, silviculture, and watershed management.
With headquarters in Washington, D.C., the Society of American Foresters has 14,000 nemberg in tle United Stufes and Canada. President Paul M. Dunn has extended an invitation to all foresters and friends of forestry to attend the meeting.
