Dick Allen, a well-known lumber personage to Northern California retailers and wholesalers alike, celebrated the opening of his own retail yard-Allen's Lumber & Building Materials-with an open house for northern Marin county residents on Friday, July 25. The new yard is located at4142 Redwood Highway 101, just across the highway from the Terra Linda turnoff.

Dealer Allen selected the 3/4-acre site with a weather-eye to the Terra Linda tract settlement of some 8,000 people, all of whom must pass in front of the new yard when entering or leaving the subdivision.
