The most recent addition to the Johnson-Flaherty, Inc., custom-designed storage racks have been installed-in the new warehouse facility of Harbor Plywood Corporation at 2800,Supply Ave., T e5 Angeles. John T. Northam, manager of Harbor Plywood's Southern California branch, said iegarding the installation :
"We at the Los Angeles branch of Harbor Plywood Corporation, were first introduced to the >oration, the Tohnson-Flahertv tree rack' about two years ago. I felt this was not onl| v an innovation, but was truly the answer to the terrific storage and handling problems we all face, in the wholesale distribution of plywood. A number of units were installed in the three-level type and they have exceeded all of our expectations. Last month we moved to our new building located in the eastside industrial district, adiacent to thE Santa Ana Freeway, and we have increased our inventory capacity by the installation of the four-level type Johnson-
Johnson-Flaherty, and their engineering help in adapting proper racks to our ideas and requirements has been excellent," Smales declared.
Don Braley, Southern California district manager for U.S. Plywood, adds this about these all steel units: "We certainly would not hesitate to recommend JohnsonFlaherty to any of our friends who have requirements for storage racks, because we know from experience that Jack Flaherty is a man who knows his business."
And, "In today's selective market, we are able to furnish the proper storage racks to do the proper job for the plywood and lumber industry," declares Jack Flaherty.
It was in 1946 that Luke lohnson and I. M. "Tack" Flaherty established their manufacturing .oi..rtt for the
Flaherty racks at this new location. These custom racks simplify storage, increase 'floor space,' reduce cost of handling, minimize damage and, of greatest importance to our customers, permit the correct storage of materials."
According to Fred Smales, vice-president and western re- nccorqrng' ri reo )mates, vlce-preslcent anq fegional manager of United States Plywood Corporation, his firm has installed Tohnson-Flahertv tree racks in ware- installed Johnson-Flaherty tree racics warehouses at Eugene, Oregon; San Francisco, Santa Ana, San Diego, Glendale, Culver City, Los Angeles, and Phoenix, Arizona.
