Origincl Color oI Woods Retcined Indefinitely By Use of New Cocting
Color retention of the light natural and bleached hardwoods, Western pines, redwood, and red cedar, has long been a problem as the oils in these woods oxidize in contact with ozone, oxygen, and the infra-red and ultra-violet rays of the sun, and rapidly darken.
It is claimed for Transkote B-72, manufactured by Spede-way Products Co., 3639 No. Columbia Boulevard, Portland, Oregon, that its characteristics are such that when used as a coating the original color of the woods may be retained indefinitely.
Transkote B-72 is water-white, crystal clear. This perfect transparency together with its freedom from discoloration by age, and its longlived flexibility, are outstanding features. It accentuates the natural grain and brings out the full beauty of woods. It has been adopted and is recommended by the Western Pine Association in their folder No. 407, and by the Wood-Ply Research Foundation, Inc., and their wholesale distributors of Veriply hardrvood panels.
Transkote B-72 is aiso applicable by brush, spray or dipping process for the protection of all ferrous and nonferrous metals, and building stone.
Wholesale distributors on the Pacific Coast are the follorving: Western Hardwood Lumber Co.,2Ol4 East 15th Street, Los Angeles 21, Calif.; Strable Hardwood Co., 511 to 545 First Street, Oakland 7, Calif .; J.
