Los Angeles Firm Completes Additions to Warehouse

Plywood is utilized in construction of new building

The Ray Hill Lumber Co. of Los Angeles have recently completed additions to their warehouse at 2510 Hyde Park Blvd. They have also enlarged" their offrces at the same address, and the finishing touches are just being completed. The offices have been newly panelled in Philippine mahogany and knotty western red cedar. Tlle ceilings are of U. S. Gypsum acoustical tile and floors are of transparent plastic covered cork.

The increase in rvarehouse facilities includes the addition of a completely new building of 7000 square feet. The exterior rvalls are of one-half inch exterior type Douglas fir plyrvood and the roof, supported by Arch Rib trusses, is sheated with five-eighths inch Douglas fir plywood Plyscord. The enclosed area betu'een the tr,vo buildings permits truck loading in any rveather. 'fhe total area now enclosed is increased to 15,000 sq. ft. Also, the spur track has been lengthened and there are now facilitics for unloading five cars under cover, while a sixth can be unloaded in the open area at the west end of the premises. This open area has been fully black-topped and enclosed with a cyclone-type fence.

The Ray Hill Lumber Co. are wholesale jobbers of Douglas fir and Western pine plywood in which they carry a complete stock of all standard grades and sizes. They also job interior and exterior doors which include Douglas fir panel and flush doors, Philippine mahogany flush doors, and "Hasko" Arch-Kor birch and gum flush doors.
