For the year-to-date, shipments of reporting identical mills were 12.3 per cent above production; orders were 17.5 per cent above production.
Compared to the average corresponding week of 19351939, production of reporting mills was 59.9 per cent above; sl.ripments were 68.3 per cent above; orders were 83.5 per cent above. Compared to the corresponding week in 7949, production of reporting mills r,vas 3.7 per .cent above; shipments rvere 5.6 per cent above; ar-rd nerv orders were 18.6 per cent above.
The \\'-estern Pine Association for the week ended June 10, 93 mills reporting, gave orders as 67,862,UJO feet, shipments 68,910,000 feet, ar,d production 72,045,00O feet. Orders on hand at the end of the week totaled 234.930.000 feet.
The Southern Pine Association for the rveek ended June 10,89 units (118 mills) reporting, gave orders as 1g,583,000 feet, shipments 20,559,0@ feet, and production 18,809,000 feet. Orders on hand at the end of the tveek totaled 64,980,000 feet.

As we go to press there is no change in the strike situation at the Weyerhaeuser Timber Co. mills in the Northwest. The strike started on May 15. The Weyerhaeuser strike means a loss of approximbtely 17,500,000 feet of lunrber weekly or nearly 12 per cent of the Northwest's total production.
The strike at the Coos Bay Lumber Co., Coos Bay, Ore., has been settled.
