James R. Iteed has been transferred from the Chicago office to the San Francisco a:ea territory.
Bryan McDonald who has been calling on lumber dealers, architects, and distributors in the Pacific Northwest area, has been transferred to the Chicago office to work in a sales capacity. He is to be replaced by Fred Stevens.

The managing director of the Association, O. Harry Schrader, Jr., reported on tl-re activities of the organization, particularly the advertising and promotion department, which is norn' spending one million dollars for promtting the uses of plyrvood. The entire meeting was a highly optimistic one. It rvas reported by President Snyder that an all time high production of 45 million feet of plywood a week is nolv being manufactured by the industry.
Plywood mills from California, Oregon, and Washington were represented at the meeting.
Ilarl Hoffman Company has doubled its office space at 6207 So. La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles. The extra space rvill provide for private offices for Earl Hoffman and Jim Magee, and leave ample room for the sales and bookkeeping departments.

R. S. Douglas, vice president of the Weyerhaeuser Sales Co., has been appointed general manager to succeed Harry T. Kendal1. Nlr. Kendall, rvho has served as general manager since 1935, has been elected Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Douglas has been rvith Weyerhaeuser since 1923, and has been manager of sales for West Coast mills with headquarters in Tacoma. He 'ivill now maintain his ofifrce headcluarters in St. Paul.
