R.olph Russell New Consolidqted Lumber President

Meeting April 18, the Board of Directors of Consolidated Lumber Company elected Ralph D. Russell president and treasurer.

Consolidated is one of Southern California's largest ber dealers.

Mr. Russell succeeds A. T. Macmillan. president since 1959, who is retiring but will remain a directbr and member of the Executive Committee.

Ralph Russell joined Consolidated in 1923, was elected vice president in 1955 and became a member of the Board in 1959.

At the annual shareholders' meeting, Russell and Macmillan, together with Oliver Carlson of San Francisco, Carlton Kendall of Oakland and Mrs. John H. Tyson of Corona del Mar, were re-elected to the Board, and Robert C. Green of Oakland and Preston Hotchkis of Los Angeles were elected as nerv Directors.

Established in Wilmington in 1905, Consolidated Lumber Company has during the past 55 years continued to expand its operations until the plant now covers an area of approximately 54 acres. During the past few years it has handled in excess of 160,000,000 feet of lumber through the plant each vear.
