ORTLAND Hoo-Hoo Club 47 staeed a big golf tournament and Concat im- mediately following the recent semi-annual meeting of WWPA in that Oregon city and the surprise guest of honor turned out to be Bob Johnson who was unanimouslv elected Snark of the Universe at Memphis just two days earlier. Snark Bob arrived just in time to sit in as visiting officer, his first official duty as head of Hoo-Hoo International for the coming year.

The tournament and Concat, both held at Forest Hills Golf Club at nearby Hillsboro, attracted nearly 60 combatants and kittens and was chaired by Pete Hall of Lumber Products Co.

Hal Greenman edged Rod Heestand by one stroke with an 80 low net to capture the first flight and Don Corkum took like honors in the second flieht with both Del Hesselgesser and Paul Stieight a mere one stroke behind him.

Gene Kuzman carded the third flight, Bob Reed and wrn Lex in the Taylor close on his heels. Long drive awards also went to Streight and Taylor.

Following the September 15 Concat at which seven new members were welcomed into the International Order and Club 47, a slate of new officers and directors for the coming year was presented to the membership and enthusiastically approved.
