Frank Morrisette has added "Tack" Baker and Dave Schaller to Dant Forest Products Co's. Menlo Park sales headquarters. Baker comes from Georgia-Pacific in Portland and Schaller from Industrial Lumber, also in Portland.
Art Neth and his missus Helen drove to Oregon for the annual salmon run, snag- ging several big Chinooks. Now back at A.W. Neth Lumber Sales, Sherman Oaks, Calif., he's already planning a retum trip for steelhead.
After several years of specializing in the merchandising of laminated wood beams and roof structure components for California Sugar & Western Pine Agency, Jerry Griffin has taken the plunge and hung up his own shingle: Griffin Forest
Products, 520 So. El Camino Real, San Mateo, Jerry will continue to handle laminated beams produced by Rosboro Lumber Co. and Boise Cascade with sales to dealers in northern California. Prior to joining California Sugar & Western, Jerry had been salesmanager of Western Pine Supply.

Friends and customers attended a surprise party for Allen and Carulyn Gray on October 29th at the Napa digs of Jin and Betty Jones, the occasion being Al- len's transfer to the eastern sales div. of Union Lumber. They will live in Omaha, Nebraska and Allen will work out of Union's Chicago office. A native of Fort Bragg, Calif., Allen trained at Union's Fort Bragg and Willits plants before entering northern California sales in January 1966.

The lumber industry was profoundly saddened last month when it received the news that a Giant Timber had fallen. The Black Day occurred on the last day of September when San Francisco wholesaler Frank Billings became the latest fatality of the Marrying Game. Frank and his bride, the former Lila Desrnond of Atherton, spent their honeymoon at La Jolla in southern California.
