Monufoclurers Fund Home BuYers
Six major manufacturers of building materials who joined recently in forming Home Capital Funds to increase the supply of low down-payment mortgage funds for home buyers have reported a good reception to the plan.
The move was aimed at increasing build' ing material sales by making more mortgage money available to prospective home buyers in the current tight money market.
The nbw organization will finance a 15 percent add-on to a loan for 75 percent of the value of residential housing made by conventional lenders banks and( mortgage companies, bringing the total up to 90 percent.
The six firms are Anderson 'Corp., Armstrong Cork Co., Kaiser Industries, Masonite 'Corp., Reynolds Metals C,o., and U.S. Plywood-Champion Papers, Inc.

This is one of a number of plans aimed at increasing the available supply of mortgage money for home buyers.
