Kirchmeier, gen. mgr. of the Sierra div., will replace Knauf at the Intermountain div., Coeur d'Alene, Id. He will be succeeded as Sierra div. gen. mgr.

W.D. Page has been promoted to the post of v.p., industry affairs at the American Plyrvood Association. Dr. John Emery has assumed respon- sibility for environmental issues: George Sleet is the new gen. mgr. of APA's Plywood Research Foundation.

Legislative achievements by the association were highlighted by Keister Evans, executive v.p. Participation in meetings of the Southeast Asia Lumber Producers Association also were reviewed as well as a recent industry tour to Brazil to establish contact with organizations exporting forest products.
