ing building know-how to the do-ityoursel{ers or introductions to reliable remodeling contractors.
Adding a master bedroom, for in- stallce, requires a wide range of products the dealer can supply, products that improve a family's whole pattern of living. The addition may require a new bathroom, and the old bedroom becomes a den, playroom or familY room. This change often prompts further renovation, ofiering the dealer an increased market.
Another smaller-version addition that provides plenty of expansion space is the Elbow Room concept created by the Western Wood Producrc Assn. (See The Merchant, P.30, Dec., 1970.) It's a 6x8-{oot room stretcher, built on to an outside wall.
Dealer rnerchandising aids are available without cost from WWPA for promotions of full-scale additions (such as bedroom, garage conversion, loft room), or the Elhow Room, both of which require quantities of dimension, boards, paneling, and siding, as well as windows, doors, fix' tures. paint and other items.
Merchandising kits from WWPA include sample copies of idea booklets, plan sheets, newspaper ads, invoice stufiers and window banners, and order forms for quantity shipments of the materials.
To order the Add-A-Room kit (MK-I0P) and/or the Elbow Room kit (MK-14P). write to Western Wood Products Assn., Yeon Bldg., Portland, Or.972O4.
