Masonry Wall Insulation which has been used by professional insulation contractors for over 30 years is being introduced to the D-I-Y trade by Vanply, Inc.

Textured Siding

Woodgrain texture makes Weldwood Wind Ridse hardboard sidins from Champion" Building Producis suitable for visually striking exteriors.

To meet demand for products with high curb appeal, several new design elements have been incorporated into the siding. Random-width planks with alternating vertical and flat rustic woodgrains are highlighted by grooves to give the appearance of multiple plank thicknesses and textures. Manufactured in France by Deville, the new Hi-Rise is designed as a heating unit and decorative focal point. The cast iron hearth doors swing open to show the fire through a Pyrex window that slides down from under the mantle.

Mansard-style mantles are available in low-rise and hi-rise versions.

Two new products known as the system from the Flecto Co., Varathane Wood Sealer and Stabilizer Stains and Varathane Ultra Plastic, can be used to stabilize. seal. stain and finish new and bare wood.

Said to be easy to apply and fast drying with water wash-up, they are available in seven wood tone stains, clear gloss and satin finishes.

They are based on the Envirosol System which reportedly uses 607o less petroleum products than oilbased paints.

Wood Hoods Match

Matching wood hoods are new to Haas Cabinet Co.'s kitchen line.

The units, available in either 30" or 36" widths, are designed to match door designs with a metal liner.

Hood components, manufactured by Vent-A-Hood, include two exhaust blowers that can be operated independently and a fluorescent light.
