Message from Mrs. Porritt
I have loved working with you this year! You have been so enthusiastic to learn Maths, solving problems, practising vocabulary, collaborating and applying your skills to real life problems. One of my favourite Units was 2D Shapes and Symmetry, where you designed snowflakes using a pair of compasses, and then had to record a video for your Summative Assessment analysing the symmetry you could see in Winter Decorations. Here is a shot of Jinwoo and the shapes he made at home:

I have loved learning mathematics with Ms. Porritt this year as well! She taught us about algebra, patterns, shapes, probability, factors, multiples etc. One of my favourite Units was algebra. For example, fractions, plus and minus and multiply and divide negative and positive numbers etc. Ms Porritt explained about those types of things really well, so we could understand it well. If our maths teacher wasn’t her, then it would be hard to learn. She tried to not make us get bored of maths, so sometimes, she created a challenge/quiz for us so we don’t get bored. I can still remember a challenge we had to solve the problems all over the 3rd floor of the school and it was about patterns. I hope Ms. Porritt teaches us forever!”

“I have loved working with Ms. Porrit was a brilliant teacher to work with because she was a teacher who taught us fun maths units like Algebra and etc. Ms. Porrit was a teacher who would always smile and greet us in lessons, and taught us Venn diagram, and The most unit that I enjoyed was the Pi because it was fun learning a new unit that I never learned and that the pi is pretty long.”

I have loved working with Mr Crawford and Mrs Porritt in Maths. We learned lots of topics such as algebra, probability, etc. They taught us really well so that the students could answer correctly. My favourite moment was when I was learning multiplying decimals, I was the only one who got the answer correct in the questions so I was happy. Also I loved working on Venn diagrams about probability when I had to put the correct quantitative answer on each circle. I also liked when she created hard and easy challenges and quizzes like Jinwoo said. My most favourite Unit on Maths was algebra(same as Jinwoo).
