Year 3 Acacia

Dear Year 4 Lapacho

It all started with a tree.

Working together to build up the symbol of our class was a team activity that really set the tone for our year. Everyone helped and had a role to play in assembling parts to make the whole. Just like in life, “everyone’s a piece of the puzzle”. This spirit of fun, creativity, and collaboration is what I will always remember when I think about my first year as a class teacher.

Any nervousness I had about stepping into the role quickly disappeared when I saw what an outstanding class you turned out to be.

Each personality and every member helped to make Lapacho shine so brightly - I felt even more fortunate to have taught many of you before!

It was immensely rewarding seeing how you had developed in your academic ability as students and flourished as confident young people since those early days in Year 2.

Throughout the year we have read brilliant stories together (for Literacy); had reflective conversations about all kinds of topics (for Jigsaw); brought electricity to cardboard towns (for Science); made delicious grape juice (for Hungarian Culture); performed perfectly onstage (in Wonderland!); searched for Tiny in an array of places (for Maths); and put on an incredible interactive migration exhibition (for People & Places) - it has been an amazing experience and I am proud of every single one of you.

It was my pleasure to teach you: never stop growing!

Mr. Darling
