With years of experience as licensed real estate agents, Lynn Carlson and Bree Kruger understand firsthand the hustle, heart, and strategy it takes to thrive in this industry. After spending years on the agent side of the business, the two joined forces over three years ago as Sales Executives with Great American Title Agency and they haven’t looked back since.

They specialize in helping real estate professionals grow their businesses through impactful marketing, effective lead generation, and customized strategies tailored to each agent’s unique goals.

“Our favorite part of what we do is being a true resource for our agent partners,” Lynn and Bree share. “We’re constantly thinking about how we can bring more value whether it’s a new idea, a helpful tool, or just showing up when it matters most.”

If you’re looking for partners who understand the business from the inside out and are just as invested in your success as you are, Lynn and Bree are here to help you level up.

Hi, I’m Jim

I moved out to Arizona in December of 2011 in pursuit of better quality of life, I wish I would have made the move 20 years ago! I have a lovely wife named Jane and between us we have 6 wonderful children. In my spare time I love to cook, garden, off-road, hunt and shoot.

1. How has your approach to real estate evolved over the years?

Over the years, my approach to real estate has evolved from being purely transaction-focused to becoming relationship-driven and strategically refined.

Early in my career, I was all about the hustle—learning contracts, navigating the process, and working tirelessly to build momentum. It was very much about getting the deal done and moving to the next.

Today, it’s about building long-term value. I’ve learned that a real estate relationship doesn’t end at the closing table—it starts there. I focus on being a lifelong resource, whether that means connecting clients with trusted professionals, offering insight into market trends, or simply being available for thoughtful guidance when the next move comes into view.

As team lead of the DiscoverPhx Team, I’m fortunate to work with a talented group of agents who are equally dedicated to client experience. We understand the unique needs of luxury relocation clients—discretion, precision, and white-glove service. Whether they’re moving across the country or internationally, our goal is to make their transition seamless and tailored to their lifestyle.

2. How do you balance your real estate career with family life?

Balancing a high-performance real estate career with personal life requires structure, intentionality, and clarity.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is the

value of setting boundaries. Real estate doesn’t always operate on a 9-to-5 schedule, but that doesn’t mean your life should be on call 24/7. I block out dedicated time in my calendar for life outside of work—and I honor it. When clients see that I’m fully present during business hours, they also respect when I protect time to recharge.

Efficiency is everything. I use digital tools and systems that allow me to stay organized, responsive, and ahead of schedule. That frees up more time to be present where it matters most.

It’s also about quality over quantity. Even during the busiest seasons, a few focused, uninterrupted hours with loved ones can be more powerful than an entire day distracted by notifications and emails.

3. What role does technology play in your real estate business?

Technology plays a vital role in my business—not as a replacement for connection, but as a catalyst for performance and service.

I like to think of my business like a luxury vehicle: wellbuilt, intentional, and finely tuned. Technology is what keeps every part of it running at peak efficiency.

I use digital tools to stay organized, anticipate client needs, and operate with precision. From writing offers on the go to tracking every follow-up, these systems allow me to stay connected without being consumed. It’s the difference between being busy and being effective

MEET Michael Bahr

What is one thing that you feel makes you stand out from other agents?

My edge comes from experience that goes deeper than most. Before focusing solely on real estate, I spent over 20 years as a licensed mortgage broker and direct lender, personally closing more than 1,000 transactions. That foundation gives me an insider’s understanding of how deals really get done—from financing strategy to the closing table. I t’s not just about selling a home; it’s about anticipating hurdles before they happen and guiding clients with confidence through every phase. My depth of knowledge gives my clients a pivotal advantage in a competitive market like Scottsdale.

How do you see the future of real estate evolving?

It’s clear the future is AI-powered platforms with instantly updating algorithms. The Realtors who will lead this market are the ones who think like marketers, negotiate like investors, and operate like tech startups. But here’s the twist: in high-end markets like Scottsdale, where lifestyle and emotion drive value, the human element becomes more essential than ever. The future belongs to agents who use tech not just to streamline deals, but to elevate the experience—through curated marketing, data-backed storytelling, and hyper-personalized service.

How do you balance work and personal life in such a demanding career?

Real estate never really clocks out—but I’ve learned to create harmony instead of chasing balance. I integrate moments of personal joy into my day, whether it’s an early morning Pickleball match or taking my pup on a walk before showings. I’ve also built systems that allow me to be fully present for my clients and my life. That means leveraging technology, setting clear boundaries, and surrounding myself with a great support team. In a market like Scottsdale, where clients expect excellence, it’s not about working less—it’s about working smarter and living fully.

MEET Johnny Walker

Can you share a memorable story from your early days in the industry?

I got a referral from a friend for a Listing. I showed up for the listing appointment with the thought that this was a done deal. I was unprepared and gave a sub-par presentation. I did NOT get the $1.3m listing. I will never ever assume I have the deal and always give a full out presentation from that day forward.

How do you balance work and personal life in such a demanding career?

I coach youth sports. Spending 2 hours a night 3 days a week allows me to step away from the day in / day out of Real Estate and focus on helping kids develop both in sports and in life. Truly my passion.

What’s the most rewarding part of being a real estate agent for you?

Knowing that when all is said and done, my clients will have a place they love and call home to make memories in.

Buyers and sellers are sometimes anxious. How do you help them to get through the process?

Great question. There comes a time in every transaction that you have to ask your clients to take the emotion out of the deal and make a smart business decision. Timing is the key to the success of this part of the process.

What’s the most rewarding deal you’ve ever closed?

I was fortunate to work with a Veteran Non-Profit in finding a location for a homeless Veterans home. I ended up serving on the Board of Directors for 5 years.

MEET Morgan Hawes & Deandre Wright

1. How do you balance work and personal life in such a demanding career?

You hear “work-life balance” tossed around a lot — but for us, it’s not something we chase. We work, live, play, and invest right here in Paradise Valley and Arcadia. Real estate isn’t something we clock in and out of; it’s woven into our lifestyle. This is our community. Our friends are the local business owners, developers, designers, builders, residents, and investors. That kind of deep integration means we’re not just selling a neighborhood — we live it. And that gives our clients a real edge.

It’s not about balancing two separate worlds — it’s about building one life we love and bringing our clients into it.

2. How do you ensure a positive experience for your clients?

It all starts with something simple — but often overlooked: we listen. Too many agents walk into meetings ready to talk about themselves, rattle off stats, or pitch their services. But we take a different approach. We slow down, ask the right questions, and truly listen to understand who our clients are — their goals, their story, their lifestyle, and their vision for the future.

Once we know that, we collaborate to build the most effective strategy possible — one that’s tailored to them. From there, it’s all about what we

call the “3 F’s”: Follow up. Follow through. Follow back. We’re proactive, consistent, and dialed into every detail — with our clients and with everyone involved in the transaction.

Real estate isn’t always easy, but it is simple: do what you say you’re going to do, and do it well. That’s how trust is built. That’s how world-class experiences are created.

In our world, excellence isn’t optional — it’s the standard. And our clients feel that in every detail.

3. Why should people choose YOU as their agent?

We always tell potential clients: work with whoever can provide the most value to you and your situation. That means we don’t work with everyone — and that’s by design.

We’re selective because alignment matters. When the relationship is the right fit, that’s when the magic happens. We bring unmatched value through deep market knowledge, strategic thinking, and a powerful network of connections. But more than that, we’re fully integrated into the lifestyle — we live, work, play, and invest in the very communities we serve.

We’re not just agents — we’re trusted advisors, and when you work with us, you’re getting access to a level of service, insight, and execution most never experience.

MEET Lisa, Luke & Sydney

Why should people choose US as their agent?

First and foremost, we care about our client’s well-being and their goals, dreams and desires. We treat every deal like it’s our own. Whether you’re buying your first home or selling a place you’ve loved for years, we bring on-going dedication, clear communication, and smart strategies to the table. We don’t just want to close a deal… We want to earn your trust, deliver results, and be the person you call every time you think about real estate. We value relationships and truthfully, that makes us stand out from the rest. We enjoy fostering the relationship, and in every situation, we leave the partnership as friends… that is what makes it most special. We have created endless friendships that will last for years to come.

Not only do we treat you like family, but we are also a family!! Luke & Sydney have grown up around real estate their whole lives, so it was more than just fate that they became agents as well. Lisa has been in the business for almost 30 years, having seen the market crash in ‘07/’08 to the market boom in ’21. Combining the 3 mindsets has been a life changing aspect of our business. You now have 3 minds working together for the betterment of every deal.

When you work with us, you’re not just hiring agents— you’re joining a family that’s fully invested in your success. We’re a mother, daughter, and son team, and there’s something special about the way we work together. Our trust, communication, and commitment to each other carry over to how we serve our clients. We each bring different strengths to the table, but share the same values: hard work, honesty, and truly going the extra mile for our clients. Whether you’re buying, selling, or just exploring your options, you’ll always feel supported, informed, and genuinely cared for. This isn’t just business for us—it’s personal. And we wouldn’t have it any other way… that is why people should choose US as their agent.

What role does technology play in your real estate business?

Technology plays a huge role in our team’s real estate business! From the phones we all carry around to a complex computer system. Luke in particular is efficient at drone footage, video editing, social media, cameras and more! This has helped us through our real estate journey by being efficient and able to stay connected in

order to market ourselves and our homes to the public. We create value for our clients via our ability to make home touring videos along with capturing stunning professional photographs and drone photography. In today’s age, technology helps us stay informed on the changes of the real estate market so we are able to adapt quickly for our clients.

What’s the biggest misconception people have about real estate agents?

Many people assume that real estate agents are solely motivated by the compensation they earn, but the reality is far more involved. Real estate agents do much more than just help clients buy and sell homes—they dedicate time and energy to tasks like preparing a home for listing, staging/prepping for open houses, and navigating the complex logistics of showing homes to potential buyers. They often work long hours, including weekends, to ensure their clients are supported through every step of the process. Our team has helped clean homes, pull weeds, hose off driveways, plant flowers all to make a home appeal more to the public. Real estate agents assist with finding market value, negotiations regarding purchase price to home inspections and requests for repairs, an ongoing process until the home closes escrow. It’s a job that requires expertise, commitment, and a passion for helping people and to establish relationships for years to come, not just chasing a paycheck.

MEET Christina Rathbun

How do you balance work and personal life in such a demanding career?

I live by my daily checklists, which always include work, personal, and family items. After nearly 20 years in real estate, I’ve learned how important it is to maintain a balance between all three. When my day is balanced, I feel the most productive and successful. I make it a point to carve out at least one hour of personal time each day— whether that’s a workout, getting a manicure or pedicure, or meeting a friend for coffee or lunch.

With our three children in school during the week, I’m able to focus the bulk of my day on my clients, continuing my real estate education, or networking with other agents. I make sure to walk my son to school every morning, which gives us precious one-on-one time to talk about everything going on in his life, from sports to school. And with two teenage daughters, I try to soak up as much time with them as I can while they still want to hang out. They truly are my built-in best friends.

What is the most rewarding part of being a real estate agent for you?

I know it might sound cliché, but from a very young age, I’ve always found joy in helping others with anything I can. Seeing people smile brings me so much happiness. It truly warms my heart to know I play a meaningful role in my clients’ home-buying and selling journeys. Each person and home has its own unique story, and I’m honored to be a small part of theirs. There’s nothing more rewarding than guiding my clients through this emotional process and making sure everything goes as smoothly and seamlessly as possible at every step.

How do you incorporate community involvement or local knowledge into your business?

There’s nothing more meaningful to me than being deeply involved in the community where I live, work, and raise my family. For the past 10 years, I’ve had the honor of sponsoring Grayhawk Elementary School, and for the last 6 years, Pinnacle Peak High School — two incredible schools that have poured so much into the lives of the young people in our area, including my own children. The education, support, and sense of belonging they’ve provided have made a lasting impact on our family.

Beyond the schools, I’m also proud to stay active in the Grayhawk community through the HOA, helping to sponsor cherished events like the annual Easter egg hunt, golf tournaments, and holiday celebrations. Being able to give back in even a small way to a community that has given us so much is something I’m truly grateful for.

MEET Matthew Fenicle & Brian Guzman

What role does technology play in your real estate business?

Technology plays a key role in streamlining our real estate business, helping our agents market properties effectively, manage transactions seamlessly, and stay connected with clients at every stage of the process. The right tools allow us to operate more efficiently and provide a smooth, professional experience for our clients. It also gives us access to real-time market data and insights, which helps us guide buyers and sellers with confidence. Ultimately, technology allows us to work smarter, stay competitive, and deliver an elevated level of service in an ever-evolving market.

What hobbies or interests do you pursue outside of work?

Outside of real estate, we’re passionate about travel, philanthropy, and spending quality time with friends and family and our French bulldog, George. We love exploring new cultures and recently had the opportunity to visit incredible places like Dubai, Egypt, Turkey, and of course, Paris. Wine country getaways are a favorite way to unwind, and we’re always inspired by the experiences and connections that come from both travel and giving back. These moments fuel our energy and creativity in both life and business.

What advice would you give to a new agent fresh out of school?

For a new agent fresh out of school, our biggest piece of advice is to align yourself with the right brokerage—one that not only provides training and resources but also surrounds you with mentors and leaders who are genuinely invested in your growth. Real estate can be overwhelming at first, and having the right support system makes a huge difference. Look for a company where you feel inspired, challenged, and part of a community that wants to see you succeed.

MEET Angela Vineyard

How has the real estate market in the Phoenix Metro area changed since you started?

I’ve been a licensed Realtor for 22 years. We’ve grown in population by about 2 million people since then, so have experienced rapid growth in all directions of the valley. Having a full understanding of the new developments, infrastructure and specific types of properties and amenities available in each metro city is key to providing proper guidance to clients finding the right place to meet their housing & lifestyle needs. I’m one of a few Realtors who have experience selling in majority of the Phoenix metro area cities. That specific knowledge on how each city compares to each other is vital.

How do you balance work and personal life in such a demanding career?

You don’t! Hahahaa! Humor aside, in reality this takes discipline and arranging your schedule each day with some level of flexibility. It’s important to prioritize tasks and with that in mind, knowing every day will be full of “something that needs to get done”. For me, I know that my family and clients come first. After that, I share the remaining time with other business projects, health & wellness activities and community service. Sharing your passions and skill set with the community is a must. Feeling that you are contributing to something bigger than yourself, provides a deeper level of satisfaction than any paycheck can give.

Can you share an experience where you had to adapt quickly to a market change?

In 2007, I noticed the housing market topping out here in the Phoenix metro area. I wanted to keep my investors happy, so I researched all the emerging cities across the country to find another market with equity growth potential. After collecting and analyzing all my data, I decided to focus on Austin Texas. I partnered with a couple Realtos within my brokerage there, found a place to live and began commuting there every two weeks for a year to split my business between Austin and Phoenix.

My investor clients and I purchased many properties there in Austin, which doubled in value within just a few short years. There’s always risk involved entering a new market, but in this case it paid off many times over. Tracking data to locate these hidden gems is often time consuming, but can really pay off, as there continues to be emerging markets with opportunities all over the country.

MEET Scott Obermeyer

What hobbies or interests do you pursue outside of work?

My favorite hobby is spending quality time with my family, especially enjoying unique experiences together. As often as we can, we love traveling to and exploring new places. When I carve out time for myself, you will find me working on my golf game or playing basketball.

What inspired you to start a career in real estate?

I got started in more of a unique way. My dad introduced me to his bank manager, who hired me on the spot as a personal banker. Six months later I became the bank’s top producer. From there, I moved into full time mortgages as an originator and never looked back.

How do you balance work and personal life in such a demanding career?

I have to give credit where credit is due, and that is to my wife, who makes sure I keep a healthy balance of God, family, business and play. I can easily get caught up in working many hours. She keeps me grounded so that I devote the best of me to the most important things.
