Alumni Soccer Match

In mid-December, Alumni gathered on a cold and wet Farley Field for the Alumni Soccer Match. After the match, players and friends headed to the Causeway Bar and Grill for a social. Attendees enjoyed complimentary food and a cash bar while sharing stories. Jeff Rossi ’96, Andy Cassara ’02, Justin Schneider ’03, Craig Wills ’03, and Andrew Woodroof ’03 served on the committee.

Cheer Reunion

Members of the Brother Martin Cheer community gathered at Vintage Rock Club in mid-March to celebrate the program’s tradition of success.

Lisa Borne commented on the program’s championship history and credited current coach Jessica Spitale Fresina with sustaining the excellence. Committee member Katie Prechter McNulty presented Jessica with an award for her dedication to Brother Martin Cheer. Attendees enjoyed reception food and beverages, shared stories, and discussed future Alumni cheer events.

In October, Alumni, family, and friends attended the 2022 Crusader Cook-off, Homebrew Competition, and Cornhole Tournament. Hundreds of people enjoyed delicious food, drinks, and camaraderie in The Backyard.

Twenty-one different dishes and 20 different homebrews competed. Pop’s Provisions was named the champions with the team’s Shredded Brisket Tacos. “Pop’s Provisions” featured Tommy Donelon II ’96, Mike Donelon ’97, Matt Donelon ’99, Mike Lemoine II ’02, Kevin Bergeron, and Ryan Landry. Team Weisse won the brew contest and Not Today won the cornhole tournament.

Scott Walker ’93 emceed the event, and Pat Barbaro ’85 served as the DJ. Guest judges, a huge TV screen to watch the Saints, raffles, the Crusader Cornhole Tournament, and a bouncy house for the kids all added to the fun.
