Alumni and Dad Day of Relfection

In April, Alumni and dads joined in a Day of Reflection and Mass on campus directed by Deacon Richard Eason from St. Stephen’s Church. Deacon Eason’s theme for the day was “Spiritual Excellence: The Path to Happiness, Holiness, and Heaven.” Participants were invited to engage in prayer, reflection, the Rosary, and the Stations of the Cross. Fr. Andrew Sanchez ’03 of St. Francis Xavier Parish and Fr. Jeremy Lambert of St. Catherine of Siena Parish facilitated the Reconciliation service. Fr. Andrew Sanchez ’03 then celebrated Liturgy in the James B. Branton Chapel to conclude the Retreat. This spiritual event provides a wonderful opportunity for Alumni and dads in our faith

Day at the Races

Members of the Brother Martin community gathered at the annual Day at the Races in March at The Fair Grounds. Beautiful weather once again graced the event. Delicious food combined with raffles and racing resulted in an enjoyable afternoon. The “Winners Circle” raffle winners watched the “Brothers of the Sacred Heart Alumni Race” trackside and had the opportunity to take pictures with the winning jockey. In addition, the 50/50 pot was awarded and “Lucky Ticket” winners cashed in for the prize. Many of the ladies in the crowd wore their best event hats and are considering adding a “best hat contest” to next year’s event. Sal Brocato ’88, Gerald Calogero ’84, Wayne Kraus ’60 SA, and Les Lambert ’73 served on the committee. community to celebrate their faith and devotion to our Lord.

After Mass, all participants enjoyed lunch provided by Dean Pigeon ’06 of Pigeon’s Catering. The day was memorialized with a group photo in front of the James B. Branton Chapel.
