As Northumberland County’s newest Probus club, Presqu’ile, held its foundation meeting this week, its older sibling, Brighton, held a celebration of another kind last week, handing out ten-year pins to 62 members, 34 of them founding members. The annual general meeting also saw one president, Doreen Cable, exchange pins with the incoming president, Ian Douglas. The Brighton Probus Club has 200 members—and still has a waiting list, even with the formation of Presqu’ile. Both Cable and Douglas (pictured) welcomed the new club and wished it well.
