NEW ZENTANGLE: FROM RENAISSANCE TO YARD ART LIVE ONLINE Using the Zentangle drawing method on subtly colored or toned paper, you will create art similar to that from the Renaissance period. The use of black and brown ink and white and black pencil create shading and highlights reminiscent of that long ago period. For yard art you will create a mythical creature often found in many yards and gardens from that same Renaissance period. This class requires completion of at least one prior beginner’s Zentangle course. Tuition: $129 | Instructor: Cynthia Atkins Tue, Thu, 6:00- 7:30 pm | Oct 12- Oct 28, 2021

NEW DIGITIZING YOUR ART FOR JUDGING Are you an artist wanting to properly digitize your work for competitions or gallery evaluations? Details matter! Most competitions and organizations that evaluate artwork for participation or shows require a photo of the piece, or samples of your work in a digital format. Their consideration is affected by the same criteria that you used to create the piece: the Hue, Saturation and the Luminance of the piece. In addition, because submissions are digitized, there are image size, resolution, file format, and naming specifications that must be met. A final criteria is that the perspective of the piece be accurate, ie, not skewed vertically or horizontally. Any deviation from these criteria leaves it up to the judges to decide on the true colors, tones, and perspective of the submission. It’s a brave, new world! Don’t miss this change towork with an expert, who excels in his work as a commercial photographer. Tuition: $159 | Instructor: Charles Almarez Thu, 9:00 am- 12:00 pm | Oct 14- Oct 28, 2021
