ARTE I Mauricia Gândara Mauricia Gandara, mixed media artist, painter, graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She studied color printing at Il Bisonte Graphic Arts School and art history at the Institute Lorenzo de’ Medici in Florence, Italy. Living in San Francisco, she works in her studio at Hunters Point Shipyard, where she was selected artist-in-residence in 2009. Mauricia applies her research of materials and techniques into intimate impressions of urban life and nature.
