DELIVERY
The last couple of years have been an interesting time in the cattle business. With herd contraction and market roller coasters it’s never been more important to make sure your cows are covered by bulls that bring you closer to your marketing goals. That’s why we are so excited about this year’s offering. These bulls have all been pasture raised, and forage fed with slow, sustainable growth in mind. The last thing ranchers need is a bull that breaks down early and fails to perform his duties. We know that the way bulls are developed is pivotal to longevity and fertility, which is why we focus on reasonable growth. All of the bulls are fall born, giving them an added advantage in the fertility arena. These boys are ready to work.
At HI/ Cattle Co. we always keep two mottos in mind. The first is Cattle with Grit. Hardiness is at the top of our priority list. Our cattle are not pampered and spoon fed. Our seedstock herd management closely mirrors what we expect from our commercial cow/ calf herd. If a papered cow can’t cut it under the same environment, inputs and expectations we have for our cow/calf herd, then she adds no value to the industry, and you won’t find her here for long.
When making breeding decisions we also focus on providing a higher balance. We reject the philosophy that cattle are either maternal or terminal and instead endeavor to improve the traits that matter whether you sell at weaning or on the grid, while keeping all things in balance. Ranchers need a live calf on the ground every year and the nation needs beef. We aim to do both.
All bulls have been genomically tested and parent verified. Black Hereford bulls have Right Choice designations. (We wish we could offer you this service on the Angus bulls as well, but AAA is sticky about data sharing).
Free delivery is available to any location within 500 miles of the ranch. Farther than that? Don’t be shy. We are happy to work something out.

TERMS
All animals sell under the general terms and conditions of their respective breed associations. All animals become the buyer’s property as soon as sold and will be cared for until delivered at the buyer’s risk.
SETTLEMENT
Bid winners will be invoiced via email the day after the sale, using the email you signed up for with RanchHQ. Make payments to HI/ Cattle Co. We will contact successful purchasers within 24 hours after the sale to gather all information needed to transfer and deliver your animal. If you think you purchased an animal(s) and have not heard from us in that time frame, please contact us. INTERNET SPEEDS AND RELIABILITY VARY IN ALL AREAS AND WITH ALL DEVICES. BREEDING GUARANTEE
First season breeding guarantee on all bulls: The first season breeding guarantee is defined as 90 days from first turnout. All bulls are guaranteed against any injury that would keep them from being a breeder for the first breeding season. If a problem occurs, please contact us immediately. A suitable replacement, if available, will be provided, OR a credit minus the salvage value for the next sale. This guarantee does not cover the death or injury of the bull from any treatable condition such as foot rot, pink eye, etc.
HERD HEALTH
All bulls will have a completed BSE prior to delivery and are upto-date on all vaccines. All bulls are guaranteed defect free unless otherwise noted.
GENOMIC TESTING
Genomic testing has been done on all animals to enhance their EPD profiles and prove parentage.
REGISTRATION CERTIFICATES
Registration certificates can be transferred to the buyer at the seller’s expense. Please let us know the association assigned breeder number.
DELIVERY
We will deliver free of charge within a 500-mile radius. For deliveries outside of that range we are happy to work with you on a central location to meet or coordinate trucking. Some states require additional testing on bulls. We will start these tests immediately following the sale at seller’s expense.

2 STEPS FOR AUCTION BIDDING
1. Go to RanchHQ.app and register for an account. You will get an email asking you to verify your account. Make sure you do that so that you can log in. Once verified you can log in and click on the auction link to see the auction.
2. Prior to or on sale day you will need to register to bid. On RanchHQ click on the HI/ Sale link and then the orange button above the sale lots. You will be asked to acknowledge the terms and conditions of the sale by checking a box and submit. You will then be approved and assigned a bidder number. Each bidder is manually approved, so this may take a moment. We encourage you to do this early, as sign-ups during extended bidding at the end of the sale may not get approved in time.
TERMS
You can set a Maximum Bid on the lots. This will keep you in the lead for that animal until your maximum bid is outbid. No one else will be able to see your maximum bid amount. Another bidder must bid against you to raise you to the maximum bid limit.
FAVORITES
You can click the star on the lot to move a lot to your favorites page. You can find the Favorites tab at the top of the auction page. This will allow you to keep animals you are interested in grouped together.
MY BIDS
The My Bids tab allows you to see what animals you have bid on and for what price. This is for your information and works to group the animals you have bid on together throughout the sale.

BIDDING WITH CONFIDENCE
A note about privacy: Bidding activity and confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us. Bidding activity logs and data are maintained by RanchHQ for purposes of conflict resolution or legal contests only. Sellers do not have any access to bid logs. Sellers have no access to max bid amounts, so you can place your high limit with confidence that it will not be revealed to the seller, nor with other bidders. Your max bid will not be “run up” without another legitimate bidder competing against you. Your privacy is guaranteed.
