Autumn Season 2025

amazing autumn season awaits you at Bradford Theatres!

Bradford’s celebrations as the UK City of Culture during 2025 continue into the autumn months, bringing culture to every corner of our district.

I’m delighted to be able to share some of the fabulous live entertainment coming to Bradford Theatres during this time.

As ever, there is a vast range of exciting events to choose from – dance, comedy, variety, tributes, talks and music. We also have a wonderful selection of family shows coming to the Alhambra Theatre this season, including first-time tours of West End smash-hits The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.

This season is full of firsts at the Alhambra Theatre, including the dazzling CBeebies Panto: Cinderella, set to be recorded live in October and then shared with families across the UK on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer throughout the festive period. But the ultimate fairytale adventure awaits you in person with our spectacular pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! An enchanting show for everyone!

Finally, I can’t sign off without mentioning the global phenomenon Matilda The Musical, which is back in Bradford following the sellout success of its first tour in 2018/19.

I hope you enjoy browsing the new brochure and I look forward to extending a very warm welcome to you when you visit our venues.

Best wishes

There will be a post-show Q&A on Friday 3 October given by Matthew

MATTHEW BOURNE’S NEW ADVENTURES RETURN TO BRADFORD THIS AUTUMN.

In 1930s London ordinary people emerge from cheap boarding houses nightly to pour out their passions, hopes and dreams in the pubs and fog-bound streets of Soho and Fitzrovia. Step inside The Midnight Bell, a tavern where one particular lonely-hearts club gather to play out their lovelorn affairs of the heart; bitter comedies of longing, frustration, betrayal and redemption.

Inspired by the great English novelist Patrick Hamilton (Twenty Thousand Streets Under The Sky, Hangover Square) who created some of the most authentic fiction of his era.

Hailed by The Observer as ‘the undisputed king of dance theatre’, master storyteller Matthew Bourne has created some of the most successful dance productions of the last thirty years including Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Red Shoes, Romeo and Juliet and Edward Scissorhands.

MIXING URBAN DANCE, DARING STUNTS AND DAZZLING ACROBATICS.

iD Reloaded, inspired by iD, Cirque Éloize’s ground-breaking and breath-taking West End and international hit, is an intoxicating blend of circus arts and urban dance music; b-boying/b-girling, breakdance, hip hop and more.

The scene is set in the heart of a city, in a public space where people seek refuge and a chance to shed their anonymity: a place where identity is forged and individuality is expressed. The stage fizzes and thrills with infectious energy and phenomenal physical feat, as the 12 talented cast members from Canada’s famed contemporary circus crew Cirque Éloize perform against a kaleidoscope of eye-popping video projections.

Set to a pulsating and stimulating soundtrack by Jean-Phi Concalves (Beast) and Alex McMahon, directed and created by Jeannot Painchaud, iD Reloaded is a thrilling piece of work, full of attitude, energy and invention.
