The highly acclaimed Akram Khan Company is performing in Bradford for the first time.
Akram Khan’s Jungle Book reimagined is a new work (first performed in 2022) based on the muchloved story by Rudyard Kipling. With a new sense of urgency, Akram has reinterpreted this known story from another perspective, through the lens of today’s children – those who will inherit our world and become our future storytellers.
Embedded in the roots of The Jungle Book is the deep threat that mankind poses towards nature. Akram and his team have reimagined the journey of Mowgli through the eyes of a refugee caught in a world devastated by the impact of climate change. They tell the story of a child who will help us to listen again, not to our voices but to the voices of the natural world that we, the modern world, try to silence.
Jungle Book reimagined speaks to all generations as a step to remind, to relearn and to reimagine a new world together.

Dragons by celebrated South Korean choreographer Eun-Me Ahn is a joyful riot of dance, music and nonstop movement that brings together modern and traditional dance styles from across Asia.
Whilst dragons are feared in the West, in Asia, they represent lightness, joy and optimism.
Eun-Me Ahn’s kaleidoscopic production introduces five young guest performers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and Taiwan. All born in the year 2000, they appear as holograms, sharing their hopes and fresh perspectives on how past and future can coexist. They interact on the stage with Eun-Me Ahn and her company of seven South Korean performers with vivid and colourful projections bringing forests and clouded skies to life, powered by an evocative soundtrack seamlessly blending contemporary pop with a traditional score.
Eun-Me Ahn is one of the most important artists in South Korea. Her dance company has performed at 11 major international festivals, including the 2002 FIFA world cup in South Korea. Dragons sees her connecting with Asia's next generation of talent. Age guidance: 8+ (no under 2s)
