I feel proud and honored to beable to share with you a tremendous handicap that accompanied me for manymonths, slowing down my plans, my scheduled dates for the launch of content obtained from the allocation of time, respect, trust, professionalism, commitment and confidence of successful business leaders and entrepreneurs who are benchmarks for all of us .I am referring to all of us who contribute in some way tothe development of the business tourism industry, shaping the MICE sector with our "personaltouch" so that it reaches its deserved expansion by its genuine essence and inits maximum power, includingits diversification . Being so tremendously wide the possibilities of progress if we take into consideration the highnumber of sub - sectors that make up the meetings, incentives, conferences that encompass the congresses, events and exhibitions . Generating a "carom effect .” Like a "snowball effect" in business relations and in the strategic alliances - partnerships ; we should be called professionals of an INDUSTRY that walks hand in hand with thetourism and clearly with the hospitality industries along with logistics, communication, marketing, entertainment ... representing absolutely fundamental gains for the evolutionof any global economy . To be honest, I was alwaysable to separate accuratelyandalmost perfectly what for more thantwenty years I called "putting on my work uniform" "the armour"and taking it off at the endof my professionalduties giving the main role of absolute prominence to"private life” . This mechanism worked extraordinarily well for me for many years on four continents in many destinations where I havehad the privilege of studying, working and living . 2022 was my "earthquake year” I couldn't separate "the uniforms" because they intermingled as the rainbowcolours or like thosethat when you put them in the washing machine are so vibrant thatthey end up coming out mixed, a blend/mixture that of course I did not contemplate orexpect, however, although I triedto avoid it,it happened last year and I am proud and very happy that 2022 stayed there in the past . Experienced how sometimes in apparently exhausting, chaotic situations one is strengthened in such a way that one ends up giving thanks for having been sort of re - discovered in the process, having also re ached a very positive and comforting situation after so much struggle “a battle .” On the other hand, I also managed to understand that masks end up falling off people just as situations and circumstances that are cyclical, also thattime and patience invite us to experience that everything flows, nothing remains .I believe that uniforms can beandare renewed, delays give you a new boost from the perspective of having reached your destination goal, perhaps late .. But Ladies and Gentlemen, if there is something that hasno price in the market, absolutely priceless, that is health, freedom and the value of the authenticity of being, feeling and living doing things bravely from and with the heart .I also had the chance to visit several European markets and northern Africa .I took a few days to make a personal tripto a special place in the Balkans whichwas very relieving and liberating ; it also helped me to reinspire myself and,aboveall, to rekindle my gratitude to face this new beginning with renewed enthusiasm .
Taking this opportunity todayto convey my sincere apologies for my delay but essentially and most importantly I thank all those who know that it ´s always better late than never andas they say in my home countries Spain and Mexico, "It's never too lateif the bliss/happiness is good ." It is a daily reminder to express gratitude not only for the people, events and gifts in your life, butalso for your own accomplishments . Perhaps that involves discovering new ways of doing . Reflection is way to be prepared to move forward, looking back will help you take advantage of lessonslearned, and you may even discover some hidden positive habits you didn't know you had developed . Reflecting on what you accomplished and what you didn't experience .I admit that at no time did I stop revolving around the idea that when the great change that I sensed would not take so long to occur and indeedit did . Of course, I was also going tothank my perseverance since this is alsoan important common cause that unifies and energizes for action towardsthe opportunity to reset, live and work motivated and happy .

It is a pleasure to be with such a prestigious brand and especially in this trade show that is aimed at all professionals of Meetings , Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions.

Well, after a long break, wewere finally back to stands, we have a Hyatt stand with our international hotels 20 hotels exhibiting , all from individual destinations and then our together by Hyatt stand, which is our new initiative to differentiate Hyatt from other hotel chains . ”

We concentrate on four pillars now. Wellness, Security, Experts and Technology. With these four pillars we want to say what we can do better than we've ever done before.

Looking at this for example, is the concept of wellness . We are creating a dish that shows itis delicious . It is healthy . It is something different to showcase in just normal coffee breaks . We're creating something absolutely amazing . And we can make it tailor made unique for event planners that want maybe something that is vegetarian oreven vegan, but absolutely incredible .”
For us, it was an extremely wonderful show, full of happiness, full of like being back, motivation and excitement to be back; but also to show to our customers, it's safe to meet again, it is safe to come together again and for planning for next year and for years after.
(BMB) : What is your assessment of the the trade show itself, of these three intense days of meetings during IMEX Frankfurt 2022? What is your feedback and opinion? What are your takeaways – conclusions
(BMB) : Yes. And the vibration level, the energy level, the motivation level. It's all over the place.
(CW) : “ It feels so good to be back and I think I'm not the only one who has exactly that emotion. It is incredible to be meeting live again, to meet faceto - face again. Yes , we could connect virtual, but now to be hugging again isn't that the best feeling.”

(BMB) : Exactly. That's also a very good advantage that you can offer in different target markets, but always within the same sector, which is the MICE segment. Please, let's talk about the new openings and new venues to highlight that that will be taking place within the next few months, until the end of the year and or at the beginning next year
There's plenty of openings, but maybe I would highlight three. We have our fantastic La Zambra Resort in Spain. La Zambra is a gypsy dance and it really capsulate that emotion. It will be a beautiful resort, the next best place to go to between ( Malaga / Marbella - Costa del Sol). Another property Thompson Madrid, a beautiful luxury Hotel with rooftop terrace, rooftop swimming pool, right in the city center. And last but not least Hyatt Regency Lisbon much anticipated, we can’t wait for this and it is beautiful. We are looking forward to these new openings.

Could you please introduce yourself to the audience? I mean, How did you get started in the MICE business, the trade show business? When did that start? Because IMEX is now 20 years old and you joined in 2002, which means that basically together with your team and the management team, as well as the founder, you've been here for 20 years. How did you get into the trade show business and when did you start?
20 years later. And it's incredible because the IMEX group has just signed a partnership agreement with Messe Frankfurt, where we are. A fantastic destination. Shall we please highlight the main gains of this this long - term partnership? Since 2025, it is a partnership to consider with Messe Frankfurt as a venue to run the next IMEX for upcoming exhibitions within the next 3 years.

Could you tell us what you would say to a new exhibitor whowould like to come to Imex?
What is next? & Priorities in your agenda?
Talking about the involvement of the industry with your experience, expertise and know - how, organizing a world leading show for the MICE sector. What would be the main advantages they can gain from exhibiting at the show in terms of Brands, Leaders & Venues, companies and markets?
At the end of the day, even though unfortunately IMEX Frankfurt has been cancelled the last two years, it also shows your commitment and responsibility, because it was a harsh decision to make this cancellation but at the same time, we can also rely on you as leading event organizers and above all meeting professionals, because you are serving the industry and we need the backup of companies or organizations like you to provide these kinds of platforms, resources and the opportunity to evolve the industry.
Let's emphasize the main outreach advantages of this trade show, as well as the exposure within its platforms.
Especially good relationships. I mean, the quality of contacts and the creation of immersive and customized experiences creating is very important. But the most important thing also is, as you said; we were talking about Frankfurt as a hub for European markets or an economic hub, and obviously for the MICE Business. So IMEX is the hub for the business travel industry, and you also held this event in Las Vegas. Are you planning to expand IMEX into other regions besides IMEX America and IMEX Frankfurt? Or are we going to stay here for many more years without thinking about expansion and diversification within the exhibition / trade show?
Thank you very much Carina Bauer. I would also like you to please highlight what are the priorities on your agenda for the upcoming months? putting this together as a real experience after two years of not being able to reunite together; now that we are recovered. We're not talking about reuniting for recovery. Hopefully we've recovered from this one and now we can think about futuristic initiatives.
We have to be futuristic because frankly there has been a demand and the client has become more demanding, although we did not have the possibility of consuming these products that are needed within our business and our industry, the demand went up. Therefore now we will have to think about being more creative and being more innovative and futuristic; and technology is advancing so fast, I don't know what’s going to be next. That’s my question. What's next within your vision? By the way, you didn't tell us the awards you received, but she is a visionary, she is a leading woman in the industry and one of the most knowledgeable people. Carina, what do you think is next?
The bird is also technology. I mean, the sound, everything is technology. The smells, the whole experience gives you like a sense of transportation an d transformation . I could see yesterday the emotionon the floor of people not only seeing eachother again,and of course that's very special, butalso what it signifies, which is thatthe industry is coming back,business is coming back, there's demand there .
I MEX really, for any exhibitor needs to be a kind of central part of a year marketing campaign, where in touch with the market, but the point at which they can the marketplace from all over world in one week, if you like . we do is special because we together not only the global marketplace, but every segment of the business events market . It's complex, broad industry . There specialism within it, all of them here at IMEX
We are committed and focused on IMEX and Frankfurt and IMEX America, which takes place in Las Vegas . And for us, really, whatwe are interestedinis building the breadth and depth of these shows, building them into even better experiences every year and driving forward key issuesin the industry that are going totakethe industry forward . And that's really where our focus is .
I would just say congratulations, well done of getting throughthe past two years. We've all been throughthattogether think it's brought us closer asan industry.I think it's allowed us to be more innovative asan industry. And what I would say is to be really excited for the future, because this is a resilient, creative industry that we are lucky enough to be within. It's an industryin high demand. We can achieve great things for the organizations wework for,for the clients that wework for and the destinations wherewe can leave a fantastic legacy. So be really excited about what the future holds, butkeep in mind that we also have to do our part in terms of creating events that are more sustainable and more inclusive. And that is really whatwe need to focus on for the next few years.

(DH): “What we found in the events we've put on over the last two years; at all these events, what we found is that people need those connections. As human beings, we thrive on face - to - face. And as much as technology has helped facilitate that when we couldn't be together, it's not a replacement, it's a complement. And I think what I've seen here on the show floor at Frankfurt is just the reinforcement of that, that people need to be together .”

the football industry did not exist . At thetime, football asan industry was starting totake pace and thus,the moment to launch such an event was the right one . Oncewe had the idea though, like with any project, I believe the greatest achievement was to build a great team around the project and executing it properly .
As they often say, ideas are worthless, execution is everything.
This year, we have managed to organiser biggest event to date: over 2000 onsite attendees, 500+ online, 85 countries represented, 200+ speakers and 50+ panels discussing 11 different tracks that cover the football and sports industry as a whole. If you work or plan to work in this industry, attending WFS should be an annual fixture in your calendar for the ability of knowledge generation as well as meeting with people that would otherwise take months or years to do so.
