A library is a public space belonging to us all; it is a place that collects our shared stories. But does everyone feel they belong in our common spaces and are their stories included? Who has a voice and the power to take up space? This publication includes images of artistic happenings and subjective reflections from the following artists, writers and activists on the topics of cultural narratives, structural racism, visibility and belonging: Anna Wojtyńska, Chanel Björk Sturludóttir, aría Sól Andrews, Elías Knörr, Ewa Marcinek, Helen Cova, Melanie Ubaldo, Nermine El Ansari, and Wiola Ujazdowska. The contributors to this publication all took part in an exploration process on inclusivity that the Reykjavík City Library began with the project Inclusive Public Spaces. Further information on the project's processes and podcast can be found on: www.borgarbokasafn.is/ips
