Alfons Mucha a jeho Slovanská epopej Alfons Mucha and his Slav Epic Monumentální dílo věhlasného secesního malíře Alfonse Muchy zachycuje dějiny českého národa a dalších Slovanů. Cyklus dvaceti velkoformátových pláten znázorňuje např. Jana Amose Komenského nebo Mistra Jana Husa při kázání v Betlémské kapli. Muchovi trvalo osmnáct let, než tento skvost dokončil, poté jej daroval Praze. V současné době je možné vidět Slovanskou epopej na zámku v Moravském Krumlově, kam byla po druhé světové válce převezena. O umístění v Praze, jak si autor přál, se stále jedná. Více na www.epopej.cz The monumental artwork by the renowned Art Nouveau artist Alfons Mucha portrays the history of the Czech nation and other Slavs. This series of twenty large-format canvases for example depicts Jan Amos Comenius, or priest Jan Hus preaching in the Bethlehem Chapel. It took Mucha 18 years to complete this masterpiece, which he donated to the city of Prague. Nowadays it is possible to view the Slav Epic in the castle of Moravský Krumlov where it was moved after WWII. Letní shakespearovské slavnosti Summer Shakespeare fest Všem milovníkům tvorby Williama Shakespeara, ale nejen jim, se doslova zatají dech, když uvidí některé z jeho děl inscenované pod širým nebem. Největší a zároveň nejstarší shakespearovský open-air festival se těší nebývalému zájmu české i zahraniční veřejnosti. Pražský, Brněnský, Slezskoostravský nebo Bratislavský hrad se tomuto festivalu otevřely, a daly tak představení zcela jiný rozměr. Vrátit se do časů Williama Shakespeara můžete od 24. června do 4. září. Premiérou již 16. ročníku je napínavý příběh Jindřicha IV. The largest and oldest open-air Shakespeare festival enjoys unrivalled attention from both Czech and foreign audiences.
