B

uon primo compleanno, Hadron News! Un anno esatto è passato dal novembre 2022, mese in cui, grazie all’impegno di tutti, siamo riusciti finalmente a inventare e realizzare il nostro desideratissimo giornalino aziendale. E, a distanza di 12 mesi da allora, possiamo dire di essere felici e soddisfatti: ci avete regalato dimostrazioni tangibili di quanto questo prodotto sia importante come strumento per sentirci tutti parte della stessa azienda, compresi i colleghi che lavorano all’estero.

Ma non è solo questo: grazie al nostro giornalino abbiamo potuto comunicare con tutti voi in modo semplice e diretto, raccontandovi la strada che stiamo percorrendo insieme, condividere gli obiettivi, la crescita e le iniziative a favore della sostenibilità, uno dei temi che ci sta più a cuore e che sarà sempre più centrale nelle attività di tutti noi.

Nel corso dell’anno che si sta concludendo abbiamo potuto presentarv i nuovi colleghi - a proposito, nell’ultima pagina conoscerete le ultime new entry! i nostri appuntamenti nelle fiere di tutto il mondo e gli eventi interni, gli investimenti e i progetti per un mondo più green. Abbiamo anche giocato insieme e scoperto qualche curiosità. E adesso? Adesso guardiamo avanti, alle nuove sfide che ci si presenteranno - e non saranno poche - a testa alta, forti dei nostri valori condivisi di proattività, collaborazione e rispetto, verso ciascuno di noi, verso il Pianeta, verso i nostri clienti e fornitori, che sanno di poter contare su Bonomi Industries come un partner affidabile, concreto e innovativo.

Questo è l’ultimo numero del 2023 - ci teniamo particolarmente a fare gli auguri di Buone Feste a voi e alle vostre famiglie, affinché possiate trD scorrerle serenamente e partire nel 2024 con ancora più grinta e positività. appy first anniversary Hadron News! Exactly one year has passed since November 2022, the month when, thanks to everyone’s efforts, we finally succeeded in creating and making our much-wanted company newsletter a reality.

Twelve months later, we can affirm that we are happy and satisfied.

You have provided us with concrete evidence of how this tool plays an important role in fostering a sense of unity in all of us within the company and among our colleagues working abroad. Yet, there’s more: through our magazine, we have been able to communicate with all of you in a simple, direct way, informing you of the path we are travelling along together, sharing our goals, growth and initiatives to promote sustainability, one of the issues closest to our hearts, which is set to become increasingly central to all our activities.

During the year now concluding, we introduced you to our new colleagues – by the way, check out the last page to meet our latest additions! We talked about our presence at trade shows around the world and internal events, and gave you information on investments and projects for a greener world. We also played games and discovered some interesting facts. Now what? Now we look to the future, to the new and many challenges that will surely come our way, with our heads held high, standing strong in our shared values of proactivity, collaboration and respect, for each of us, for the planet, and for our customers and suppliers, who know they can count on Bonomi Industries as a reliable, genuine and innovative partner. This is the last issue of 2023. We especially want to wish you and your families a joyous holiday season. We hope these holidays will be a time of peace and tranquillity, allowing you to usher in 2024 with renewed vigour and positivity. Finally, thank you for your daily commitment and the seriousness you put into your work: each of Bonomi Industries accomplishments happens only thanks to each of you!

AHR Expo 2024 Now to 2024 commitments: the USA branch RuB,Inc. will be participating in the AHR Expo, the world’s largest HVACR event with more than 2,100 exhibitors and over 60 thousand professionals from over 165 countries, which will be held on January 22nd-24th 2024 in Chicago.

NOVE COLLABORATORI DELLE FILIALI NEGLI STATI UNITI E IN GIAPPONE SONO VENUTI A TROVARCI

ggigiorno abbiamo tutti i mezzi possibili per lavorare bene anche a “distanza”, certo, ma quanto è bello, a volte, passare del tempo con i colleghi fianco a fianco, creando uno scambio proficuo e conoscendosi di più anche come persone? Con questo obiettivo, a fine ottobre alcuni nostri collaboratori sono giunti in Italia dalle nostre filiali negli Stati Uniti e dal Giappone per visitare il nostro stabilimento. Il gruppo, composto in totale da 9 persone, è venuto a farci visita non solo per osservare dal vivo tutte le fasi della produzione e gli innumerevoli investimenti fatti, ma anche per stringere quei rapporti tra colleghi che, a ben guardare, si ripercuotono positivamente anche sul business. Sono stati molteplici i momenti trascorsi insieme, tra tour nel nostro stabilimento produttivo, esperienze lavorative sul campo – i colleghi hanno potuto testare, in totale sicurezza e sotto l’occhio degli addetti in produzione, le nostre macchine più innovative -, presentazione di nuovi progetti, visite presso i nostri fornitori e utili momenti di confronto sui prodotti da lanciare, oltre a pranzi insieme nella nostra nuova mensa e… anche qualche partita a calciobalilla! Una vera e propria full immersion nella realtà italiana, con momenti di discussione e di lavoro, dove si è goduto del piacere dello stare insieme anche fuori dall’orario lavorativo.

Questa esperienza si inserisce perfettamente in quella che è la nostra vision aziendale, che abbiamo chiesto a tutti i nostri collaboratori di condividere e promuovere, e che si basa su valori di lealtà, collaborazione reciproca, rispetto, proattività e inclusione. Come ha spiegato Michael Hoard, Area Manager del Sud-Est, in azienda da meno di 2 anni, «visitare l’Italia e vedere per la prima volta lo stabilimento produttivo è stato illuminante. Bonomi Industries ha un impianto di produzione di livello mondiale che garantisce una qualità altissima dei prodotti». Per Michael inoltre «è stato molto piacevole incontrare le

nostre controparti europee e conoscere il valore che portano ai loro clienti». Era già stato nel nostro stabilimento, ma è tornato a farci visita, Mark Mustradi Jr, Area Manager del Centro- Nord: «Sono passati anni dall’ultima volta che ho visitato il nostro quartier generale», ha spiegato. «È stato bello poter vedere dal vivo i macchinari che avevo potuto osservare solo virtualmente». Per Ben Walker, Area Manager del Nord-Est degli USA e del Canada, «è stato interessante osservare l’espansione dell’azienda e tutta la nuova automazione. Ed è stato importante aver visto con i nostri occhi come qui si lavori ogni giorno in modo orientato al futuro: vorremmo trasmettere questo concetto anche ai nostri clienti, attuali e potenziali».

Anche Choi Jaeho, Responsabile Vendite della filiale giapponese RuB KK, è d’accordo sull’importanza di visitare lo stabilimento: «Vorrei che anche i nostri clienti vengano in visita, per capire come realizziamo i prodotti di altissima qualità che vendiamo loro». Per lui, un altro motivo d’orgoglio è aver potuto vedere dal vivo anche «tutti i servizi pensati per i vari collaboratori».

Secondo John Shelander, questa visita è stata una «grande opportunità di team building con i nostri collaboratori italiani e per vedere le nuove capacità di espansione della fabbrica», mentre Ben Walker ha apprezzato soprattutto «l’espansione e la nuova automazione che si aggiungono alla nostra capacità produttiva». Anche Andres Rodriguez, Vicepresidente Vendite & Marketing, condivide l’entusiasmo del collega: «Sono rimasto affascinato dal livello di automazione e robotica in tutto il nostro nuovo impianto di espansione. Non è secondo a nessuno!».

Un’esperienza, questa, che i nostri collaboratori si sono portati dietro una volta tornati a casa. E che, siamo certi, avrà rafforzato ancora di più il legame tra di loro e con l’azienda.

NINE EMPLOYEES FROM BRANCHES IN THE UNITED STATES AND JAPAN CAME TO VISIT US

owadays we have all the means to work well even “remotely”, of course, but how nice is it to spend some time side by side with colleagues for a profitable exchange and to find out more about each other as people? With this in mind, at the end of October, some of our employees came to Italy from our subsidiaries in the United States and Japan to visit our plant.

The group, composed of 9 people in total, came to visit us in Bonomi Industries not only to observe all the production stages and the countless investments in person, but also to forge those relationships between colleagues that, after all, have a positive impact on the business. Much time was spent together, between tours in our production plant, work experiences in the field – colleagues were able to test our most innovative machines in complete safety under the eyes of production personnel – presentation of new projects, visits to our suppliers and useful moments to compare ideas about the new products to be launched, as well as lunches together in our new canteen and… even a few games of table football! It really was full immersion in the Italian context, with time for discussion and work, when we enjoyed the pleasure of being together even outside working hours. This experience fits perfectly into our corporate vision, which we have asked all of our employees to share and promote, and that is based on the values of loyalty, mutual collaboration, respect, proactivity and inclusion.

As Michael Hoard, South-East Area Manager for less than two years, explained, “Visiting Italy and seeing the factory for the first time was illuminating. Bonomi Industries has a world-class production plant that guarantees very high product quality.” Moreover, for Michael, “it was a great pleasure to meet our European counterparts and under-

stand the value they bring to their customers.” He had been to our factory before, but Mark Mustradi Jr, Central-North Area Manager, came back to visit us: “It’s been years since I last visited our headquarters,” he explained. “It was nice to be able to see the machines in person when I could only observe them virtually before.” For Ben Walker, Area Manager for North-East USA and Canada, “it was interesting to see the company’s expansion and all the new automation.

And it was important to see for ourselves how everyone works every day in a future-oriented way. We would like to convey this concept to our current and potential customers as well.”

Choi Jaeho, Sales Manager of the Japanese branch RuB KK, also agreed about the importance of visiting the plant: “I would also like our customers to visit, to understand how we make the very high-quality products we sell to them.” For him, another point of pride was being able to see “all the services designed for our various collaborators” in person.

According to John Shelander, this visit was a “great opportunity for team building with our Italian partners and to see how the factory can be expanded”, while Ben Walker especially appreciated “the expansion and new automation that augment our production capacity”. Andres Rodriguez, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, also shares the enthusiasm of his colleague: “I was impressed by the level of automation and robotics throughout our new expansion plant. It is second to none!”

It was an experience that our collaborators took with them when they returned home. And that, we are sure, will have strengthened the link between them and the company even more.

LE INIZIATIVE AZIENDALI, CONCRETE E TANGIBILI, PER LA SALVAGUARDIA DELL’AMBIENTE

ESGs e sostenibilità, l’impegno concreto di Bonomi Industries per il Pianeta e le persone N

on è più tempo di stare a guardare. L’impegno verso la sostenibilità non può più essere fatto solo da belle parole, da promesse d’impegno che si perdono nel vuoto. Bisogna passare ai fatti, concreti, reali e tangibili. E noi di Bonomi Industries questo passaggio dal promettere all’agire l’abbiamo fatto da tempo, da ben prima che la pressione governativa e mediatica sull’emergenza climatica provasse a risvegliare la coscienza di tutti. Perché, per noi, gli ESGs - ovvero i fattori ambientali, sociali e di governance ideati per misurare la sostenibilità, l’etica e l’impatto sociale di un’azienda – da anni sono già diventati azioni reali.

Le misure prese a sostegno della sostenibilità ci hanno portati a un importante risultato: per quanto riguarda EcoVadis, ovvero la prima piattaforma internazionale che analizza e fornisce rating di sostenibilità alle aziende, siamo passati da una medaglia di bronzo nel 2022 a una d’argento nel 2023, segno che le nostre performance di sostenibilità sono migliorate nel tempo. Un team di esperti ha infatti esaminato la nostra azienda non solo dal punto di vista ambientale – ovvero da fattori come l’utilizzo di energia, di acqua e le emissioni di gas serra – ma anche da quello delle risorse umane, premiando i comportamenti che danno priorità alla salute e alla sicurezza dei collaboratori, alle condizioni di lavoro e al rispetto di valori come diritti umani, uguaglianza e inclusione. La loro valutazione non si è concentrata quindi solo sulla conformità normativa, ma anche sul modo in cui vengono gestiti gli impatti economici, sociali e ambientali, nonché le relazioni con le parti interessate.

Ma il nostro impegno non si è fermato qui: insieme ad altre 275 aziende, a ottobre abbiamo firmato l’Accordo Brescia 2050 – Patto per la Sostenibilità, che ha l’obiettivo di rendere sostenibile il modello di sviluppo delle aziende del nostro territorio, passando dal “fare le cose bene” al “fare bene le cose giuste”.

La mano sul cuore perché ci impegniamo nel fare bene le cose giuste.

QUATTRO I PUNTI PRINCIPALI SANCITI NEL PATTO: 1. Quantificare le proprie emissioni di gas serra e di sostanze inquinanti.

2. Definire appropriati interventi e strategie di lungo termine per la decarbonizzazione e l’azzeramento di emissioni, la riduzione di rifiuti e consumi di risorse naturali.

3. Attuare gli interventi e le misure del punto precedente, apportando cambiamenti e innovazioni tangibili alle attività aziendali, come ad esempio miglioramenti dell’efficienza, adozione di fonti rinnovabili di energia, logistica e mobilità sostenibili, riduzione degli scarti, dei rifiuti e del consumo delle risorse, e ogni azione utile per l’eliminazione delle emissioni di CO2 e di sostanze inquinanti.

4. Neutralizzare entro il 2050 qualsiasi residua emissione tramite compensazioni aggiuntive, quantificabili, credibili, permanenti e socialmente responsabili.

Sempre seguendo il fil rouge dell’impegno concreto, quest’anno a ottobre abbiamo partecipato per la prima volta a Futura Expo, la più grande fiera italiana di incontro tra imprese e cittadini a tema sostenibilità. Il nostro stand ha avuto una presenza ricca e costante di visitatori, tra studenti e famiglie che hanno potuto conoscere, scoprire e apprezzare la nostra azienda tramite dei visori speciali e ci hanno lasciato messaggi incoraggianti per le nostre azioni volte alla tutela dell’ambiente. Tra queste, il fatto di appoggiarci a Treedom, organizzazione tramite la quale da qui al 2026 faremo piantare mille alberi.

Ma il nostro impegno non si conclude qui e guarda anche al futuro: in azienda stiamo per far partire un nuovo programma di sostenibilità volto a individuare i punti in cui possiamo ancora migliorare, stabilendo modalità e tempi delle azioni da intraprendere. E, prima ancora che diventi obbligatorio per tutti, a breve ci impegneremo nella stesura del nostro primo bilancio di sostenibilità. Verba volant, scripta manent, si dice. THE COMPANY’S CONCRETE AND TANGIBLE INITIATIVES TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT

ESGs and sustainability, the concrete commitment of Bonomi Industries for the Planet and people I

t is no longer the time to stand idly by. Commitment to sustainability can no longer be expressed through empty rhetoric and false promises. We need to move towards concrete, real and tangible actions.

We, at Bonomi Industries, have been making this shift from promises to action for some time, long before government and media pressure attempted to awaken public conscience to the climate emergency. Because, for us, the ESGs – in other words, the environmental, social, and governance aspects developed to measure a company’s sustainability, ethics and social impact - have been transformed into real actions for years. The measures we have taken to support sustainability have led us to an important result: as far as EcoVadis is concerned, that is, the first international platform analysing and providing sustainability ratings to companies, we passed from a bronze medal in 2022 to a silver medal in 2023, a clear sign that our sustainability performance has improved over time. Indeed, the team of experts examined our company not only from an environmental perspective, encompassing factors such as energy use, water use, and greenhouse gas emissions, but also from a human resources perspective, rewarding behaviours that prioritize employee health and safety, working conditions, and respect for values such as human rights, equality, and inclusion. Their assessment therefore focused not only on regulatory compliance, but also on how economic, social and environmental impacts are managed, as well as stakeholder relations.

But our commitment did not stop there: in October, together with 275 other companies, we signed the Brescia 2050 Agreement - Sustainability Pact, which aims to make the development model of companies in our area sustainable, moving from “doing things right” to “doing the right things well.”

FOUR MAIN POINTS ARE CONTAINED IN THE PACT: 1. Quantify greenhouse gas emissions and polluting substances.

2. Define appropriate long-term interventions and strategies for the decarbonization and zeroing of emissions, the reduction of waste and consumption of natural resources.

3. Implement the interventions and measures stated in the previous point by making tangible changes and bringing innovation to company operations, such as making improvements to efficiency, adopting renewable energy sources, sustainable logistics and mobility, reducing scrap, waste, and resource consumption, as well as any useful actions to eliminate CO2 and polluting substances.

4. Neutralize by 2050 any remaining emissions through additional, quantifiable, credible, permanent and socially responsible offsets.

Remaining on the topic of concrete commitment, in October of this year we participated for the first time in Futura Expo, Italy’s largest trade fair dedicated to bringing businesses and citizens together to discuss sustainability. Our stand had a constant flow of numerous visitors, including students and families who were able to learn, discover and gain an appreciation for our company thanks to special screens, and who left us encouraging messages regarding our actions to protect the environment.

These actions include supporting Treedom. Through our collaboration with this organization, we aim to plant 1,000 trees between now and 2026. Our commitment, however, extends beyond the present and looks towards the future: in the company we are about to launch a new sustainability program aimed at identifying areas for improvement, and establishing how and when we can take action.

Before it becomes mandatory for everyone, we will begin to draft our first sustainability report. Verba volant, scripta manent, they say. And we like the things that remain, especially if they are good for people and the planet!
