A couple years ago we had a full brother to “Hossa” and because of his extremely young age we decided to steer him and Garren was going to use him for his 4-H calf. He was the #2 performance calf in that bull calf crop. I expect big things from “Hossa” he will be just over a year of age sale day, and I would almost be willing to say by the time he gets delivered to his new home in the spring this will be the bull that will change the most. He will be a huge topped bull with loads of capacity. Not sure who’s going to be the lucky buyer sale day, but congratulations, you bought a dandy.

“Amazon” gets the nod as one of the feature bulls. A whole different pedigree here, and in a smooth polled package. His dam “Elexis” has certainly produced some outstanding cattle ion her time. Probably to date “Imax” would be her most famous son, but there is a big list. She is a cow that will moderate birth weight, and make a large majority of her calves polled, not sacrificing muscle or performance. We also have a full sister to “Amazon” and she is equally as good in the heifer pen. Not a lot of “Jungle” cattle in Canada, but I have certainly seen my share of them in Texas. They surface to the top pretty easily. Herd bull time right here.

“Alamo” is a bull I am very high on. I feel as though he has huge potential. His dam has been a fabulous producer for us, and she raised a full sister to “Alamo” last year that we retained for our own herd, she is awesome. “Houston” is another of those old faithful steady producers that has made a huge impact on the breed. I feel as though “Alamo” will be appreciated sale day, but I’m not sure anyone will truly know how good he is until a few years down the road. Whoever purchases him, he is one of the bulls I would personally like to keep a close eye on, as I’m not so sure he shouldn’t maybe come back home to work when the new owner is done with him.

“Earthquake” is one of this years pen favorites. He has the credentials for greatness. His dam “Hebe” went out with a bang raising him. She is a cow that entered our donor pen far too late in life. The pedigree here is certainly right reading like a who’s who of the industry. Quite honestly if it wasn’t for the fact that we have owned two half-brothers to him in “Epic” & “Mojito” he wouldn’t be going anywhere, and be breeding cows here for many years. This is an outstanding herd bull prospect, with not a lot of guess work left to the imagination, as this is as proven of bloodlines as you will find. Remember the name “Earthquake”, he’s going to shake things up.
