NEWS & NOTES ALL AROUND BRANDYWINE Grand Opening Ribbon Ceremony

for our newest community, Alexandria! Read more on pg.3

FROM THE DESK OF...BRENDA BACON It’s been a busy six months at Brandywine… development and business deals, our annual employee engagement survey, customer satisfaction survey for residents and families, census growth initiatives, Project ACE (more on that in a few) and our new opening in Alexandria, VA! Over 600 people came out to celebrate, Brandywine style. Virginia did not know what hit them! It was quite the party. So, it’s been a crazy few months, no doubt, and I admittingly have been deep in the business working on contracts (believe me, not fun), but took time to read the survey reports and all the anonymous comments, which were very insightful. Thank you for sharing and being open! So, what’s hot on my mind right now? You. Many of you know I vacation with family in Bethany Beach, DE in August, but always find myself in the work mix (hard not to). Brandywine is my heart, my blood... my family. So, you always come with me on vacation. And, yes, I surprised our two beautiful DE properties with a visit the other day. And, boy, was I impressed. The communities were impeccably clean and inviting. The team was happy and talkative. The residents were engaged and warm. A fabulous day! I was so proud of our leadership and our team members. And, I especially loved seeing you in action. That makes me smile and keeps me connected to our mission. With that said, I plan on making many trips around the Kingdom in the upcoming weeks to do just that. Why? I want to see you and hear from you.

If you are

It is no secret that our residents choose Brandywine because of what they see and what they have heard about Brandywine. That means what they have seen you do to ensure that our residents safe and happy.

I believe we do many things well with and for our workforce, but I want to learn how we can do even better.
