First and foremost this is the starting point of the training and this level is absolutely free for starter members (no credit card required!).

There are 28 easy peasy tasks to perform over 10 lessons. What is taught here is the absolute foundation, the solid platform of your blog and gives you that solidity from which to succeed and move forwards from.

It teaches you how to use WordPress as a content management system, understanding the process of making money online (Hint: It is not what you think it is!), the selection of a niche and indeed what a niche is.

(This part I had some difficulty in and explaining what it is in words to a friend and that is despite being quite a wordsmith and able to speak 5 languages. the simplicity of the explanation made it as clear as the day is long!).

There is absolutely nothing difficult when it comes to niche selection. In fact, the most difficult part I found when starting out was to describe what a niche is!.

Regardless of how you choose to pronounce the word, be it niche as in Knee-sh or Niche as in bitch! all a niche is in the simplest of terms is a market sector or sub sector.

I do have to admit that niche selection could have been taught in more depth and greater detail as some people do get stuck at this part.

I love helping people be sure to reach out for my helping hand if you ever get stuck at selecting a niche or even if you want to just run it past me and ask for my expert opinion.

Building and setting up your blog and getting it ready and primed for the search engines to find is also taught at this stage. This does sound quite techie and in normal circumstances would be enough to get me quaking in my non-techie boots!.

Trust me, it is way much easier than it sounds and the training by Kyle is very much "over the shoulder" where you are watching him do it slowly, steadily and very clearly. It is very easy to follow, and you can always pause and "follow along" like I did.

Then moving forwards it is time to create your first content, not your actual first post as such but what I call your core content or framework of your site where you will create your introduction, your about me page and a GDPR compliant privacy policy.

The privacy policy is actually provided and can copy it directly, this page you won't set to be indexed by the search engines so you have absolutely no worries about duplicated content.

Side Note: Duplicate content is something you should never ever do, unless you want a google penalty and never rank ever!. The Privacy policy google understand is something generic by all sites and you set it to not be indexed anyway, thus double safe!

At this juncture, I would point out, in my opinion, and experience one minor but important thing that is missing from the core setting up of your site is the creation of a "Contact me" page.

I believe having a contact page and a means of your audience being able to reach out and contact you as being important as you establish yourself in your niche area, I also believe it to relevant and of value in terms of SEO, Search Engine Optimization purposes.

I do hope that you appreciate the detail and effort that I am making in this wealthy affiliate review, Moving onwards and upwards and progressing with the training on level 2 where you are taught the principles of generating good quality free organic traffic. Which is, in my opinion, the best type of traffic.

Pro Tip 1: Traffic generation is not the problem, traffic is everywhere it is in absolute abundance! with over 4 billion internet users and a whole variety of sources such a social media, search engines, email lists, paid traffic sources, networking and guest posting, blog commenting, forums, and not forgetting offline sources too.

All you just have to know is where your particular crowd or audience is hanging out or socializing and go get 'em!.

It an entire myth that traffic is difficult to get, it absolutely never ever..ever has been and never ever will be!

Traffic is everywhere, it is in abundance especially in downtown Bangkok! haha!

On this level, you will also take the beginning baby steps to establish your brand, and choosing your domain name.

At this juncture, I do point out that you ought to not follow Kyle's advice and recommendation and buy your domain from Wealthy Affiliate.

The very reason for that, especially and doubly...even triply so if you are hosting your site on Wealthy Affiliate's servers, which is included in the price of your membership, is to add an additional layer of security and keep your domain name (your website same) and your hosting separate.

It is extremely unlikely that you will ever get both your domain name and your hosting hacked at the same time especially if they are from different companies.

As a point of reference, it may take you as long as 2 weeks to complete level 2 as it involves the creation of content, which for some may be an arduous task. Again there is nothing difficult and you are not aiming to be the next Shakespeare or write the Magna Carta.

The Technical or "computery" tasks are very straight forward and easy to perform on your own or with little guidance.

Level 3 Making Money This level of the content marketing training gets down to the nitty gritty of earning some coin online. Perhaps and most probably the reason why you are interested in becoming a blogger or content marketer.

In reality and absolute actuality, any website with traffic can be monetized and earn money.

There are a whole variety of methods and techniques to earning money from your blog or website.

This, just for the record is my favourite method of monetization and, I am, at the moment creating my own physical products for one of my niche sites and recruiting quality affiliate marketers to work with.

Level 3 of Wealthy Affiliate Marketing training outlined.

Key aspects of this level are learning how to find appropriate and relevant affiliate programs for your niche site and most importantly how to properly structure product reviews and leverage them in your quest to earning a sustainable income online.

Also touched on is the use of google adsense as a means of earning money from your niche site, which is also a viable and legitimate way of making money with your blog.

Pro Tip 3: Don't go into the creation of your product reviews all gung ho and salesy - you will only have visitors hitting the back button just as quickly as they found your site.

It might sound or seem very counter intuitive but really don't even try to sell the product to your audience of readers, do be highly informative, helpful and educate your readers in regards to the product that you are reviewing.

Show them how the product helps and benefits them or solves their particular problem or even makes their life much better or more convenient and you will convert them into sales much better. More money from the same amount of traffic!.

Let's be clear, there is a reason as why I convert on my niche sites, of which I have a few, at about 35% to 50% better than most so called 'guru's'.

Focus on helping people!.

Help people to solve the problems in their lives by presenting viable quality solutions that make their lives better and you will go a long way in affiliate marketing and business (on or offline!).

Like Level 2, this level ought to take no longer than 2 weeks for you to go through allowing for some off time, free time. family time or just some good old fashioned you time!. There is no need to rush through the training.

It is very important that you fully comprehend the process of building, monetising and creating a good quality website that you are fully and absolutely proud of.

Level 4 Mastering Social Engagement This part of your training you are going to learn the whole aspect of using social media correctly and effectively. There is absolutely no need to devalue both yourself and your brand by spamming senselessly on social media.

The social networks and the traffic and engagement from your activities and time invested there can have a positive effect on your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts. You would actually be very surprised by which social site is the most effective for that.

Clue: It is not Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest!.

Speaking of Pinterest, that is actually, for me, my best source of social traffic!. This goes along with exactly what I told you earlier, in the little golden nugget...find where your audience is, where they hang out and go get'em!. My crowd for my niche site just so happened to be on Pinterest!.

Level 4 Of The Training At Wealthy Affiliate outlined.

Personally one of my favourite techniques as far as Social Media and Engagement goes stretches a little bit further than just social networks, stretches and expands into niche relevant forums, Q&A sites like Yahoo Answers and Quora. This sadly is not mentioned or taught as part of the content marketing training.

Luckily, for you, I am sharing this with your right now!.

It is pretty easy. just spend some time every day, half an hour, maybe an hour participating in and joining conversations on forums and questions sites giving appropriate answers where possible.

Pareto Analysis comes in handy here, only about 20% of the time, 1 out of every 5 will I actually place a link that helps to answer the question. That link could be to a useful resource that is on my own site (or one of my own sites) or to a highly informative site that is not mine.

The key is to be social, helpful and not spam either my own link or someone else's site.

I highly suggest that for the first week or two no links at all to help you gain trust and authenticity within the forums and answer sites. Also, on your profile, do have a lovely link to your site, perhaps mention in a very normal (non spammy!) in the bio where possible.

This is called conversational marketing . You can apply it to facebook groups too, just join in the conversation, add your relevant info and do be careful of over placing your link, just mention it in an educated, classy and normal way.

Again, just be helpful!. Don't just join in a conversation and see an opportunity to whack in your link in hope of someone clicking it and finding your site....Spoiler alert...They won't!.

But if you do come across as genuine, helpful and authentic they will!. Even if you don't actually leave a link to your site in particular conversation you might just peak at the reader's curiosity and they click on over to your profile and...you got it!...find their way to your site. Very all counter intuitive!

Like levels 2 and 3, level 4 ought to take no more than 2 weeks as a conservative estimate to complete. Everyone leads different lives, has different work-life-family-kids balance and arrangements to keep up with, but 2 weeks for pretty much everyone is a very good estimate, all things considered.

Level 5 The Business Of Content!

As a budding blogger or apprentice content marketer, the creation of high quality engaging content is the nuts and bolts of your business.

You will also be working with and shown how to obtain ranking from the other two major search engines which are Yahoo and Bing.

Key aspects of this training also include elements of outsourcing key tasks related to your online business when the time comes and where to find quality freelancers.

As a word of personal advice, what your new business earn for you don't seek to buy 'stuff' whatever that may be for you.

Do seek to reinvest every dime you make until such a point that you are earning a sustainable and consistent income from your business so that you can have a very nice income that only requires your attention and supervision, perhaps only an hour or two per day and a full-time income at that!.

For me personally, this took me 2 years of reinvesting absolutely everything from my first site until it was profiting rather handsomely and earning a relatively passive income.

I still have that site and only taking about 1-2 hours of my time daily to proofread and beautify as well as SEO articles.

That site took 2 years, simply due to being an obscure niche and not really social media friendly!. If you are curious as to the niche, shoot a comment in the comments box below and just ask!.

Level 5 Training at Wealthy Affiliate.

At the end of this level 5 training, you will have earned your stripes and you really will be well on your way to succeeding online as a blogger or content marketer. The approximate time to complete and absorb the training and teachings is approximately 2 months.

That is how long it took me.

Obviously, I cannot say how much you can earn with Wealthy Affiliate as there are far too many variables like traffic, niche, SEO ability (which always improves), writing style and ability (Personally, I started out quite a terrible writer!), commisions, competition from other sites, to consider.

But what I can tell you is that you will make money if you stick at it and fully follow and apply the training.

Just like anything else it takes time to build a sustainable business online these days really it is no different to the offline world of brick and mortar businesses. With that in mind, I started off straight away after my free level one trial by going yearly and forcing myself to stick at it and get my money's worth and try it for a full year!. ....I ended up making several times the $359 yearly fee and rather surprisingly a few triple figure days very early on. I do hope that you can beat my own achievements, in fact, I challenge you to!.

Like level 1 of the Online Entrepreneur Certificate Course, the setting up and the whole framework of your site is taught at this level from domain name selection to the installation of WordPress (done in only 3 clicks!) keyword research and the creation of top quality reviews that convert into sales.

Level 3 Giving Your Site Social Value When you have got a website or blog that has real quality content, you do need to make absolutely sure that your audience, your crowd of website visitors can easily share that content.

In this part of the training you will be discussing and using a whole variety of the social media aspects that you could incorporate into your website to make it much more social, engaging, and that you will easily use to get a greater reach and more traffic, which of course increases your brand recognition and sales.

You will be taught how to use social plugins for your site, which social sites to use, and which ones are best avoided!, the most effective techniques for sharing socially, how to best write content that is easily socially engaging and share worthy and creating a site that is search engine friendly for the purpose of high organic rankings and free organic traffic from the search engines.

Don't worry if you are not a social media kinda person either, all this is taught in the training.

Personally, I am not a fan of social media at all. Social media is not a hugely important factor as we may think.

For two of my sites, I don't use it, the only result is and was that it took me longer to establish those sites. If you are social media savvy, great, you are going to excel at this part of your business!.

Pro Tip 8: If you noted I said hosting at Wealthy Affiliate is "very, very, very good". They are perfect for when you are setting up your site but you must keep an eye on your site speed, run a daily test from pingdom and keep and eye on that speed and your page speed rating from google (I'll show you where and how to get that - its easy!).

Also be on top of site support at wealthy affiliate and really insist that your site is slow regardless of their response or answer. Push Site support to get your load speed to under 1.5 seconds, be persistent and very insistent. You are the customer!.

Do make sure your site speed button inside WA is switched to Extreme for full benefits of speed.

I am still adamant that their hosting is very, very, very good, just a hare's breath from excellent. In my opinion, it is probably one of the better - if not the best, shared hosting environments for bloggers and WordPress....And therein lies the problem, it is shared hosting!

Regardless of what company, GoDaddy, Hostgator or any other you will eventually outgrow your shared hosting environment and need an upgrade in order to keep on top of the speed issue.

My own personal advice is to use Wealthy Affiliates hosting to begin with and build out your site but once you get established and generating around 1,500 visitors daily, I advise you move to better faster dedicated cloud hosting. I have tried out 2 or three others and have certainly found the fastest.

The price range is only $10/month, which will pay for itself several times over in lost business (from slower shared hosting) and gained ranking due to faster load times.

Research shows a 1-second delay in page loading time above 2 seconds results in a 7% drop in conversions and revenue for site owners.

By the time you are getting 1,500 visitors daily, you ought to be generating revenue in the region of $3000 to $4000 monthly, $10 to improve your user's experience is hardly going to break the bank here!

Just to reiterate The hosting very, very, very good and pretty much perfect for starting and building a site from! I use it for exactly that but once my sites start getting bigger and drawing more traffic and thus their resources I transfer to a better faster-hosting service and eventually lightening fast VPS or managed cloud hosting!. speed is the name of the game here!. Do try to get load time if you can under 1 second. Max 1.5 seconds.

Speed is an important factor for all websites, it enhances user experience and Google has confirmed it is a factor in their algorithm to benefits sites that load quicker than 2 seconds.

It only makes sense that this ranking benefit for sites loading quicker than 2 seconds could be reduced to 1 second time limit in the future given increasing and improving technologies and yes, even better quality servers and internet speeds for all. This is why I personally look for 800ms to 1 second as a maximum load time.

The Jaaxy Keyword Research Tool Keyword research as you will find very early on in your training at Wealthy Affiliate is an essential skill and you most certainly need a tool to extract the data that you need to find and determine if a keyword is viable or not for you to use and create content around.

Jaaxy, in case you are wondering, is owned by the Kyle and Carson, the very same guys that own and Run Wealthy Affiliate and thus offer their $50/month research tool for free, they include it as part of your Wealthy Affiliate membership.

Jaaxy Keyword Research Tool.

In the screenshot above Avg refers to the average number of searches per month, Traffic, this is the amount of traffic that you could expect if and when you get your article ranked on page 1 of Google.

QSR, this is the Quoted Search Results, the number of competing websites for a given keyword. KQI, Keyword Quality Indicator and SEO, Search Engine Optimisation rating - expressed from 1-100 the higher the better.

Pro Tip 9: Keyword research is easy peasy lemon squeezy. Don't think too much about it and just do it. Wack in those keywords and see what Jaaxy tells you!. Do take note of the really good and juicy ones. Ideal numbers to start with a minimum of 20 to 30 traffic, QSR maximum of 50 to start with and a KQI Great. SEO rating of 95.

Keeping your QSR low at 50 maximum to begin with helps you to find plenty winning easy to rank keywords, pick up easy winning keywords in your first 6 months is going to help your site to get traffic, ranking and early sales as your site gains trust and authority with search engines as you build it up and build it out!.

Later once you have flexed and developed your SEO muscles you can chase after more difficult keywords as your site gains authority and traction. As a guide, stick to 75 QSR until the 12 month mark and then keep on raising the bar as far as keyword difficulty/QSR is concerned.

Just for the record, there is no point chasing keywords with too much competing sites, you just won't rank or find it very difficult to rank for. As a guideline I keep my QSR at 200 as an absolute maximum, but rarely go above 150 or 175!.

Pro Tip 10: Pay close attention to this one, very close attention!. When it comes to keyword research find the questions that people in your niche area are seeking the answers to and answer those questions, make articles around answering those very questions.

By doing so you are being helpful, and above all you could very well get your post featured and appear in position zero, above position 1 and get a ton of traffic!

For the search term and Question"What Is The Best Coffee In Vietnam?" the article by Tripadvisor appears above position 1, known as position zero in the search results.

When your article gets featured in position zero, you get a much higher CTR (click through rate to your website) and thus more of that juicy free organic traffic from search engines like google. Also, getting featured increases your authority and brand awareness in your niche market.

Personally, I love this technique so much, I am accredited to having named it "The Spanish Inquisition Technique" simply because it involves being inquisitive in regards to your market sector and what questions they are asking and answering them. It really helps your crowd and to establish your site.

There are many positions available above position one, including similar and related questions to the original search term used.

A particular reason for always using photos and relevant "alt tags" (don't worry, you will be taught what those are in your training) in your articles is that you could get a special feature like in the example above.

It is not only your photo but videos also that could get a special feature in the search results. Note featured is the image, URL, Title and excerpt from the content!

Freaking awesome!.

Also, note how similar and related questions also get targeted when a question gets asked.

Naturally, these questions get a higher CTR (Click Through Rate) than position 1 of the search engines.

This is about building a sustainable business online that will provide you with a regular income year after year after year!. How much you could earn is something that is impossible to say as there are too many variables depending on...

1. Your niche, which has a number of its own variables including size, ability to dominate and establish your site and profitability, quality products available to promote, commissions and so on.

2. Your Ability with SEO, (which will always improve) 3. Your writing style and ability to engage your audience, frequency of creating content.

4. Ability with a variety of traffic sources like social media and find your crowd.

Las Vegas Superconference - The All Expenses Paid Trip!

Every year around the end of January or the beginning of February there is the annual all expenses paid trip to Vegas! where affiliates attend the Wealthy Affiliate Super Conference!.

It is held in absolute luxury surrounding, accommodation is in fantastic suits that last year included vitamin C Showers!, on top of everything being paid for attendees are given $200 for gambling, gaming, and basic fun activities.

I recall, the previous year, one of the attendees had a bowling alley in their room! I am no bowling fan..but how freaking awesome is that!. ...There is one catch though, to attend you have to sell a very achievable 300 memberships of Wealthy Affiliate throughout the Calendar year. That, I add, is only 25 per month, a very doable number with consistent effort.

Alternatively, if you sell 100 memberships from September to the end of the year.

Once you do get sales, save up your commissions and reinvest in your site to get a premium theme and a logo made. Premium Themes are far better, prettier and faster loading and more customizable than the thousands of free ones available.

I always start out with free one on every site I make then upgrade once it earns some coin!.

As far as a logo goes, yes you can make your own from a variety of free sites like Canva.com. Perhaps you are talented enough to make your own snazzy logo! (I'm not!.

Absolutely not!...If you were doing this 10 years or so ago!, but not today!. This is thanks to the advent of content management systems like WordPress.

Just 3 clicks (if even that many!) and your first site is ready!. All you really need to know is how to use a word processor! and that is it!.

Think of WordPress like a big filing cabinet, you don't need to know how to make the filing cabinet, the metal work skills involved, just how to use it, appropriately create documents and file them appropriately for users to find and read.

Using WordPress really is as easy as using a word processor with the usual features, heading, title, bold, italic, bullet points, numbered lists. It is easily recognisable and nothing too unfamiliar.

Is Wealthy Affiliate A Get Rich Quick Scheme or MLM Program? no!. There is no obligation for anyone to promote wealthy Affiliate or any of the associated products (Jaaxy keyword Research tool).

The fact is, most choose not to promote their products as they are not involved in that market sector. Most members are niche marketers pursuing their passions and making money out of their hobbies and interests.

How Much Can I Earn After Joining Wealthy Affiliate Seriously, How long is a piece of string?. Wealthy Affiliate is about building a sustainable business online for the long run. It is very difficult to say how much any particular person or site can earn as there are way too many variables at play.

Put in the effort consistently and persistently and you will earn money with what is taught at Wealthy Affiliate.

Remember Grace, Littlemama from the screenshot above, one of the big differences she made in income from one year to the next was due to her being more persistent and 41/49

consistent with her blog and switching to publishing fresh new content DAILY!.

Sure 470 posts in and she is earning what is lose change short of $3000/month but some do achieve that figure with just 70 posts!.

Btw she does have one awesome and massive asset, a 7,000 and growing email list of subscribers that she can leverage.

Incidentally speaking, that is her income from just her site helping people to earn money online, she also has a pretty awesome e-commerce site selling handmade kiddies dolls, from a very original and unique angle!.

Wealthy Affiliate Is About Content Marketing And Blogging - How Long Should My Articles Be? Ideally, you should be aiming at 1,500 words. If you can't reach that to begin with, don't worry, but to try to get as much as 600 words.

When I started my first blog at Wealthy Affiliate, I could only manage 1,000 word articles and set the goal of increasing that by 100 words per month until I hit the 1,500 word mark.

As you can see, with this article being over 1,500 words long, it just gets easier, and easier!.

I only planned on 1,500 to 2000 word article here but it ended up being much longer as I wanted to create a fully comprehensive detailed blueprint of exactly what Wealthy Affiliate is and what you need to do to succeed with it!.

How Often Should I Create Content For My Site?

You should create fresh new original content at least 3 x per week, I personally do recommend a minimum of 15x monthly, that's one new every other day.

That slight increase gives you 36 articles more on a yearly basis. As an online entrepreneur and business owner my advice is for you to increase that on a yearly basis by just 5 articles per month per year, i.e Year 1 - 180 Articles published (15x month) Year 2 - 240 More Articles published (20x month) Year 3 - 300 More Articles published (25 x month) Year 4 - 360 More Articles Published (30 x month) This might seem tough to keep up with but with more articles you have, the bigger and more authoritative you become in your chosen niche market.

Also, the more knowledgeable you will be thus the better articles you will create and yes, once you start earning you can always outsource your articles to a professional writer on a number of freelancer sites such as UpWork.

This, in case you are wondering is really the end goal, create a big beautiful site that you are proud of and can outsource the work and you spend your days in freedom to travel, take care of your family or simply just enjoy the pleasures of life and spend an hour or two overseeing the operation and running of your business, while profiting handsomely!.

How Quickly Will I Earn My First Commissions?

This is difficult to say. Most people earn their first commissions using organic search engine traffic in the first 4 months. I got mine in the 3rd month after joining and setting up my site. Subsequent sites, if you chose to make more than one, will become easier and quicker.

My second site earned its first commission inside the first month (which was from a forum user, I suspect..traffic, it is everywhere!).

Any site or system claiming you will earn huge bucks or instant commissions from organic search engine traffic straight away is complete BS. Google has the well known sandbox period for all new website which is about 3-6 months.

This is about building a sustainable and profitable business, not adhoc instant success, sustainability is the key to long-term financial freedom and business success

Is The Training Easy To Follow?

Yes, absolutely and very easy to follow. The training is done in a very clear concise nontechnical way. All the training video's are in an over the shoulder approach, watch and learn. Pause if you like or need to. Step by step, baby steps that is!

I am Not A Great Writer, Will This Hold Me Back?

No, I started off as a terrible writer and only got better as I created more content and regularly get complimented on it!. My Girlfriend is doing rather well for her self with her own site and she is a non-native speaker of the English Language.

My own personal advice is to join for free - try it before you buy it! then go premium once you have gotten through the trial period or level 1 training and take advantage of the 60% discount on the first month, allowing for you to get a better feeling for Wealthy Affiliate and if it is for you (or not!). Personally, I went yearly right off the bat!, sure I completed Level 1 training first, then went yearly, The reason I done this was to force myself to take action and earn back my investment in my training, education and my site as quickly as I could.

What Is A Keyword And Must It Make Sense?

A keyword is simply something an individual types into the search bar on search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.

With the advent and increasing use of technology for voice search by means of personal assistant software like Siri, Alexa and google own voice search it is increasingly becoming a must that the keywords that you select are grammatically perfect.

SEO Research indicates that Google and other search engines are ranking grammatically perfect targeted keywords higher than ones with slight errors. "How To Find A Niche Market" Vs "How To Find A Niche Markets" despite the slight error the former is better than the latter.

If you are starting a new site you are looking for the QSR in the Jaaxy Keyword research tool which is included in your membership, to be less than 100, ideally less than 50 for new sites. Better more established sites can target keywords with a competition of up to 200 QSR.

Do I have To Promote Wealthy Affiliate To Make Money?

Absolutely not, there is no obligation that you promote Wealthy Affiliate in order to make money online. I Have made money before I joined WA, and after much more. I did not start promoting wealthy affiliate until I entered my 4th year of membership. I focused more on niche site marketing and monetizing my blogs.

Just for the record, I only recommend Wealthy Affiliate as I do believe completely that there is no better training out there for bloggers or niche site marketer and those willing and wanting to earn money this way!.

Predominantly WA is about teaching you how to set up and start an authentic online business in any given area in which you can sell and promote any products or services of your choice. More often than not this is not going to involve the promotion of the platform.

Where On My Site Should I Put My Keywords?

Great question!. In the title of your article, One H1 heading, the first sentence (ideally 160 characters) one Paragraph with a H2 OR H3 Heading and your closing paragraph or sentence and in at least one image alt tag.

Write naturally with zero focus on the actual keyword. If you happen to mention the keyword in your natural writing of your content, fine, but you would want to keep its appearance to a maximum of 7-8 times, including the headings and title.

Also input it the relevant area of your SEO plugin, typically the All in One SEO plugin. All of this is covered in the training.
