How To Get Paid For Blogging On WordPress The very first step in this is to know what you are going to blog about. You might already have a few ideas running around in your head right now related to your passions, hobbies and interests.

That is great, this is called identifying your niche and does require a little bit of brain storming as for sure, whatever your hobbies are you will need to "home in" or "drill down" on.

This is simply because a smaller sector of a given market is easier to dominate and make money from (and quicker) than a much larger and busier one. You'll end up getting lost in all the noise and crowd of other blogs and bloggers.

Make Your Blog Stand Out By Homing In On An Exact Sub Niche Let's say you are in to travel and interested in the travel niche for example, simply blogging about everything and anything travel related and trying to appeal to everyone you will end up in a very large and busy market and appealing to actually nobody!.

This particular niche can be easily broken down into bite sized chunks, such as location (continent or country specific, beach, mountain) or as most niches are broken down, to a specific person (traveller type (backpacker, budget traveller, female traveller, family, adventure, retired and so on).

See how as we dig deeper we are getting to smaller and smaller and more focused. This is the aim.

One caveat, don't drill down so small that there is too small a crowd for you to make money from.

Or perhaps your passion lies in the Fitness Niche. This is a very broad area! what kind of fitness and to whom is your site for, who is going to get the most out of it?

Breaking down this large niche.

Type of exercise i.e cross training, bodybuilding, aerobics, yoga Type of Person i.e men, women, children, people with a certain condition.

This could result in a fitness niche like "Bodybuilding for Men (or women) over 40" "yoga for back injuries" Getting in shape for those suffering a heart condition"

Getting Paid To Blog About Anything - Using Amazon To Find Your Blogging Niche Amazon is a site that surprisingly is littered with hundreds, if not thousands of profitable and viable niches for you to blog about.

If you know how and where to look!.

It is all pretty obvious and logical and, with a little bit of practise will be come second nature to you.

Step 1: Go to the online retail giants homepage and select a department as shown below, leave the search bar blank and click on the search icon.

In this example we are going to select the "home and kitchen" department. Obviously, a blog about all things home and kitchen related is not targeted and we still have to sniff out a niche here.

And leaving that search box blank and clicking on the search icon does indeed reveal a bit more information.

Still, from the list of options highlighted by the red box we still need to dig a little bit deeper. We are going to select "Kitchen and dining" as shown in the screenshot below.

And from this we end up with a whole host of viable niches from bakeware to coffee, tea, espresso, cookware and so on.

All of these inside the red box are all potentially great niche site ideas. All ripe for the taking!.

Home brew and wine making sparks my interest as a pretty good niche - despite being a tea totaller myself!.

Clicking that option is going to tell us if there are some quality products for us to be reviewing on our little home brew site. (our niche of choice here)

Oh, my oh my! nice little surprise here, there is the possibility of niching down further and making a specialist site on wine making or beer brewing if we so wished.

In order to determine if the niche is viable it must have a reasonable amount of products for us to review and recommend and at a good price range of $50+.

The products must be of quality. The reason being here is you want them to sell well and for you to get few returns.

How we do that is very simple, as we scroll down on amazon, select 4 stars and the quality rating and then select a price range as shown below!.

How To Get Paid For Blogging Having found a potentially good niche and a bunch of products that we can recommend we are still not quite done with the research phase.

The question arises are there enough people searching for this niche? can it generate enough traffic?

To find out the answer to that question I hopped on over to one of my fave keyword research tools, Jaaxy to find out the average number of searches for a main keyword term related to the niche.

As we can see from the screen shot there is plenty of searches every single month for search terms that are related towards our niche of interest.

However a quick social media investigation and search on facebook can reveal just how popular a niche is by doing a search of facebook groups.

Are there many groups, are there popular groups with tens of thousands of members? If so, this is another indication of the viability of your niche.
