HIDDEN HOMETOWN HEROES Baron Blanchard WHO: Baron Blanchard WHAT: Social Studies Teacher, Fellowship for Christian Athletes Club Leader & Middle School Wrestling Coach WHERE: Horizon Middle School WHY: No one will argue that all teachers are heroes. They give their lives to serving and educating the future of our world. Baron Blanchard goes above and beyond in his service with youth. He primarily works with youth between the ages of 12-15 years old. During the day he spends his time educating kids in social studies, and after school leads youth in their faith formation and fellowship through Fellowship for Christian Athletes Club. “Fellowship for Christian Athletes Club is for any student looking for any type of Christian fellowship. It’s a way that they can express their Christian faith through prayer and bible study in a public school setting,” says Baron. Baron has been a teacher for over 13 years and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. “I worked at a summer camp growing up and really enjoyed working with youth.
