AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES After School Activities (ASA) provide students with opportunities across a range of interest areas, including sports, performing arts, STEAM and creativity. These opportunities allow students to further explore their passions, try new experiences and make new friendships. ASAs for Primary students include:

INFORMATION DATES There will be 4 blocks throughout the school year where students can take part in ASAs. BISH Kids runs every day. TIMES ASAs begin at 3:45pm and end at 4:45pm. Please collect your child from the Boma at 4:45pm. After school, Primary students are supervised from the end of the school day until the start of their ASA. CANCELLED ASAs Any ASAs cancelled due to external vendors or school staff will be credited to your child’s Schools Buddy account. There are no makeup sessions. If your child’s ASA is cancelled, and you are unable to collect them until 4.45pm, they will be booked into BISH Kids free of charge.

BISH KIDS
Before & After School Childcare BISH Kids runs each school day throughout the year, with the exception of days where school finishes early (end of Autumn Term and end of Summer Term). At BISH Kids, children from EY - Year 6 will have the opportunity to engage in a range of fun activities, have indoor/outdoor play and have an afternoon snack with new friends. LOCATION BISH Kids is located in the Early Years Learning Centre, just left to the main entrance of the school. Parents dropping and picking up may use the Early Years parking area. MORNINGS Children can be dropped off at BISH Kids from 6:45am-8am. At 8am, the children are then escorted to their relevant playground where they will have outdoor play until 8:20am. AFTERNOONS Afternoons in BISH Kids run from 3:30pm-6pm. At the end of the school day, children who are booked into BISH Kids will be taken to the Early Years Centre. If your child is attending an ASA, parents can also book a place for BISH Kids and the children will be taken to the Early Years Centre at 4:45pm when ASAs end. BOOKING PROCESS Parents should book the required sessions through Schools Buddy. It is strongly recommended to book as far in advance as possible, as spaces are limited.

INFORMATION EQUIPMENT Students will be dropped off in the Boma at the end of the school day. Parent pick up is at 4.45pm in the Boma. LOGISTICS At the end of the school day, students will be escorted by staff to the Boma where they will meet coaching staff. Coaching staff will then return students back to the Boma at the end of ASA, for a 4:45pm pick up. All updates with regard to the weather, schedule and photographs of the ASAs will be communicated through email.
ABRAKADOODLE DOODLERS Abrakadoodle art programmes are designed to build creative thinking and problem-solving skills in children. Our programmes focus on the elements of art, art techniques, styles, art history and the sequential development of skills. We provide specially trained, qualified art teachers and safe non-toxic art materials that bring an engaging multiarts experience to students. Come have fun and find your inner artist!

CHESS WIZARDS Our program is made for children at every step of their chess journey no matter the skill level - with classes that build upon each other, starting with the basics and moving toward more advanced lessons as your child progresses from one session to the next. Chess Wizards teaches children how to problem solve, think critically, win graciously, and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Students will be divided into groups according to their chess experience. At the end of this session, each student would have had the chance to participate in a mini-chess tournament. CRAYOLA EPIC LANDMARKS Kids will explore some of history's most incredible destinations, including Stonehenge, the Colosseum, Machu Picchu and many more. Each week, students will discover the fascinating history, cultures and stories behind these world-famous landmarks while creating hands-on art projects inspired by them. Through painting, sculpting, drawing, mixed media and creative building, they will bring these iconic sites to life while developing their creativity, artistic skills and appreciation for the world around them.

CRAYOLA WILD WORLD Children will embark on a journey into the fascinating world of animals, exploring the beauty and diversity of the animal kingdom in a way that sparks empathy, curiosity and creativity. DANCE FUN - TWINKLE STARZ Get ready to light up the dance floor! This fun and inspiring recreational combo class blends ballet with Kid-Hop and creative dance. ENIGMA EXPLORERS Enigma Explorers, our much-loved puzzle program, is built with one of only three enigmatologists in the world, a TED speaker and puzzle expert, because enigmatology is a real academic field. Students dig into custom-designed logic puzzles and brain teasers that build pattern recognition, reasoning and critical thinking. They learn to question assumptions and explore multiple strategies.

HAMP’S CHAMPS SOCCER Ready to play? Our Soccer Fundamentals after school programme welcomes all skill levels! IT’S GREEK TO ME! Students will explore the fascinating world of Ancient Greece and the Olympic Games through a variety of hands-on activities. In addition, they will learn about the legend of the Trojan Horse and build a miniature version of their own.

MATH EXPLORERS Math Explorers is built by Brain Power to introduce young learners to real mathematical thinking, not just number recognition. MINI MED Your child becomes the doctor! Students diagnose patients, practice bandaging and first aid and perform (pretend) surgery, all while learning how the amazing human body works.

MINI MOUSQUETAIRE En-Garde! Mini Mousquetaire is designed for students who have never fenced before. The class is led by our Olympian fencing coach Benoit. Students will use safety fencing swords made from flexible plastic which light up when they touch their opponent. Students will wear a safety foil during the class which will be fitted by the coach.

MOVIE MUSIC MAKERS Lights, camera... music! In Movie Music Makers, students will step into the role of a real film composer, using GarageBand on their iPads to create an original soundtrack for a short film. Over the course of the club, children will learn how music can help tell a story, create emotion, build suspense and bring characters to life. Using loops, instruments, sound effects and their own creative ideas, they will compose and edit music that perfectly matches the action on screen. This exciting club is perfect for creative students who enjoy music, technology, movies, or storytelling. No previous experience is needed, just imagination and a willingness to experiment!

MUSIC ANALYSIS This engaging class helps students become active listeners by exploring how music is created and what makes it meaningful. Through listening activities, discussions, and creative projects, students will learn about rhythm, melody, harmony, form, instrumentation, and musical styles from different genres and cultures. Participants will develop critical thinking skills, deepen their appreciation for music, and gain a better understanding of how composers and artists communicate ideas and emotions through sound.

OCEAN EXPLORERS Dive into the deep! Young oceanographers explore ocean zones, meet weird and wonderful sea creatures and run hands-on experiments about water, buoyancy and marine habitats. Every session ends with an ocean-themed build to take home.

ORCHESTRA Participation in the BISH Orchestra requires students to be actively enrolled in regular private instrumental lessons, either through the school or with an external provider. In order to fully engage with orchestral repertoire, all participants must also be able to read from orchestral scores. All orchestra members are expected to attend two mandatory morning sectional rehearsals each week, and the full orchestra rehearsal held on Tuesday mornings. PORTUGUESE HERITAGE CLUB The Portuguese Heritage Language Programme is designed for students in Lower and Upper Primary with a Portuguese-speaking background who wish to develop and strengthen their language skills while deepening their understanding of Portuguese-speaking cultures. Through engaging, age-appropriate activities, students will build confidence in speaking, listening, and writing in Portuguese while fostering a strong sense of identity and connection to their linguistic and cultural heritage.

PUBLIC SPEAKING & PERSUASION Public Speaking & Persuasion is built on Brain Power's Public Speaking Academy IP, developed over 10 years with academic, media, debate, theatre and persuasion experts. It is the skill no other enrichment programme teaches at this level of depth. Students train in rhetoric and persuasion, drawing on lessons from Aristotle, Cicero and modern academic sources.

RISING STARS DRAMA & IMPROVISATION CLUB Rising Stars is a wonderful opportunity for children to develop their passion for drama. Most importantly, they will have fun exploring their creativity in a supportive environment.

These morning sessions are designed to strengthen ensemble playing, build confidence within each section, and prepare students for full orchestra rehearsals. Participation in these sectionals is an essential component of the orchestra programme and helps ensure a cohesive and highquality performance experience. Students must be taking private lessons, either in school or externally. Students must also be signed up in Orchestra ASA to be able to participate in this activity. THE NUTCRACKER BALLET We welcome all Y4-Y9 students to participate in a short adaption of this traditional Christmas ballet, The Nutcracker, which is designed to be fun and accessible to students with different levels of dance and performance experience (previous dance experience not required). This is a great opportunity to gain stage experience, build confidence and be a part of a production. There will be a variety of roles involving dance, acting, character performance and group choreography. Auditions for lead roles will be open to Middle School students only and will take place at lunchtime on 30th September. Students who receive a lead role will be expected to attend additional rehearsals on Tuesday mornings at 8am. The live performance will take place after school on 16th December, all students who would like to participate must attend this live performance. This is a High School studentled production with supervision by Mrs. Bates with assistance from other staff members.

TINY TUNES CLUB Join us for Tiny Tunes Club, a fun-filled musical adventure designed especially for our youngest learners! Through singing, movement, games, storytelling and hands-on exploration of instruments, children will discover the joy of music in a playful and nurturing environment. Each session helps develop confidence, listening skills, coordination, creativity and a love of music while encouraging children to make new friends and express themselves. No prior musical experience is needed, just plenty of enthusiasm and imagination!

VOX NOVA - BOYS SINGING Vox Nova is a singing group just for boys who want to explore and develop their voices. The group provides a fun and supportive space to learn a wide range of songs, build confidence and discover the joy of singing together.
