El Valle de la Prehistoria se levantó en un terreno de once hectáreas pertenecientes al Parque Natural Baconao, declarado en 1987 Reserva Mundial de la Biosfera por la UNESCO. Cuenta la leyenda que en las más de 84 mil hectáreas de tierra que conforman esta área natural puede escucharse todavía la melodía de caracoles que tocaba el pequeño Baconao, un joven indígena que un día desapareció y dejó atrás solamente su música. Llena de la magia de sus primeros pobladores, esta reserva es el lugar perfecto para explorar y conocer más sobre la naturaleza endémica de la isla caribeña.

A natural park in touch with the past

The Prehistoric Valley was erected on an eleven-hectare plot of land belonging to the Baconao Natural Park, declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1987. Legend has it that in the more than 84,000 hectares of land that form this natural area you can still hear the melody of seashells played by little Baconao, a young indigenous boy who disappeared one day, leaving only his music behind. Filled with the magic of its first settlers, this reserve is the perfect place to explore and learn more about the endemic nature of the Caribbean island.

Gracias al uso del ferrocemento y sus aplicaciones, los enormes animales del Valle de la Prehistoria vuelven a la vida ante nuestros ojos, con tamaños que intentan acercarse lo más posible a la realidad. Este es el único parque de su tipo en toda la isla y la región caribeña, en general, por lo que los visitantes llegan desde todo el mundo para asombrarse ante sus maravillas. El parque prehistórico se organiza por eras geológicas, así, los visitantes convertidos en exploradores de otros mundos podrán ver desde dinosaurios descansando cerca de cascadas hasta escenas de caza entre animales y humanos. Thanks to the use of ferrocement and its applications, the massive animals of the Prehistoric Valley come back to life before our eyes, with sizes as close to reality as possible.
