Uma cidade é uma cidade é uma cidade é uma cidade ... Além das diferenças culturais geradas pela história e dos preconceitos culturais gerados pela imagologia da mídia, há o problema da cidade.
o nomadismo industrial invadiu a paisagem natural, o nomadismo pós-colonial fundiu a antropologia, o nomadismo pós-industrial está explodindo as estruturas da cidade. A cidade não é mais o lugar fortificado de estruturas sedentárias, rodeado por um mar de fluxos nômades, mas o indício da entropia, o campo de batalha simbólico da desordem global. No mapa-múndi mental, as cidades são apenas núcleos de ruído numa enorme superfície silenciosa. Mas como o ruído define o comportamento neste final de milênio, a definição de nossa identidade pode ser produzida apenas pela(s) cidade(s). Uma continuidade na descontinuidade, a estrutura da cidade está remodelando a própria percepção ambiental, unificando nossas experiências humanas num comportamento pós-humano eclético. Contemplar o colapso do mundo numa constelação de cidades e o colapso da cidade numa constelação de ilhas não é apenas uma atividade egoísta da arte, nem mais uma tentativa de ser politicamente correto. E apenas um modo natural de reagir à via expressa da informação através do metrô da alienação.
A town is a town is a town is a town ... Beyond cultural difference installed by history, and beyond cultural prejudice installed by media imagology, there is the problem of the town. Industrial nomadism invaded naturallandscape, post-colonial nomadism melted anthropology, post-industrial nomadism is exploding the structures Df the City. The town is no more the fortified place of sedentary structures surrounded by a sea of nomadic streams, but the indicator of entropy, the symbolic battlefield of global disorder. On the mental world map, towns are just nuclei of noise in a huge surface of silences. But since noise is defining the behavior at this end of the millenium, the definition of our identíty(ies) can be provided by town(s) only. A continuity in discontinuíty, the town structure is re-shaping the environmental perception itself, unifying our human experiences in a posthuman eclectic behavior. Contemplating the world's collapse into a constellation of towns and the town's collapse into a constellation of islands is not just an egotistic activity of art making, neither another attempt toward política I correctness. It is just a natural way to respond to the information highway by means of the alienation subway.
