Rebel Row:
This townhome design blends a rustic Western aesthetic with modern European architectural elements. It uniquely combines the expertise of custom home building with the innovative design concepts that TL Quick is passionate about.
Framing and structure:
The rebel townhouses use larger load I joists built in Canada and LVL support beams on post bases to support the upper floors. The scissor trusses span from front to back allowing giant open spaces throughout the house. The floor sheeting is Advantech and the wall sheeting ZIP R -3.6.
Windows and doors:
Enerlux: https://enerluxwindows.com/. These are triple pane fiberglass high performance windows and doors. They are a quality product and are really energy efficient. The triple pane has the added benefit of noise reduction.
Insulation:
To go with this energy efficiency mindset, the exterior is 1" RZip sheeting (R 3.6), which also provides a thermal break, then we added R21 batt to the inside the additional insulation on top of the studs should make it perform better. The roof is blow-in (R49) and we designed this so that we create a vent behind our siding using coravent and pull air behind the siding up through the roof. This additional airspace will also assist in creating a thermal break to the outside and allow the heat gain off the metal panels to be dissipated in the summer and not transferred to the house. It also helps the aged snow fence boards from aging as quickly - we installed UV rated full exposure vapor barrier on top of the zip sheeting where the wood is installed to allow air and moisture behind the wood.
The interior walls in the master and all bedrooms have insulation in them to reduce sound transferring the house. This will assist in ensuring that the noise is reduced significantly room to room.
Siding/Roof:
Most of the roofing and siding is standing seam ultra matte – Iron Ore – the lowest sheen and reflectivity of any product in the market. This low sheen gives things an aged look. This is the first installation in Wyoming with this product. The custom profile standing seam, also a first, was designed specifically for this house.
The flat roofs use a 60 mil EPDM roofing.

Garage doors:
The garage doors are insulated Haas doors with insulated windows, R value over 10 to keep the garage nice and warm with the installed garage heaters.
Interior:
The interior flooring is LVP. The showers are large format tiles and include glass doors for a modern feel. The cabinets are custom made by Pinnacle Custom cabinets. The interior and exterior doors are all non-standard 8’ tall doors and the interior are alder wood doors made in Colorado. The baseboards are also stained alder; however, they are recessed into the wall for a modern feel. The interior doors have widened jambs and custom trim details to separate the doors from anything you typically see.
The interior vaulted ceiling in the great room is a sound deadening walnut slat wall panel, which reduces noise and provides a warm feeling in the great room.
HVAC/Plumbing:
Most plumbing fixtures are Moen and the appliances are GE and Elextrolux with modern amenities like a microwave drawer and induction cooktop. The house is forced air but has an added Bosch ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) to allow for fresh air to be added and preheated to the return side of furnaces. The home is sealed tight and thus fresh air is a must. There is also an ERV installed in the crawl space to allow for added ventilation and clean air to that conditioned space (yes – the crawl space walls are insulated and a vapor barrier installed to the ground to include this in the conditioned space of the townhouse.)
The garages are also heated with a hot dawg heater.
Electrical:
There are nice modern aesthetic features and fixtures throughout, including low volage up lighting in the living room and master bedroom that minimizes eyestrain and more comforting/calming spaces.
