Dear Members As we approach Christmas, I thought I’d send a quick update on what’s been happening recently at the club and our plans for 2024.

Firstly, I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Golfing 2024 from myself and all the team here at The Shropshire. Big thank you for your support throughout the year and we hope you enjoy the break and spending �me with family and friends over the fes�ve period. For those of you joining us we look forward to having you.

New Website A couple of weeks ago we launched our new centre website. S�ll early days filling it with exci�ng content etc but exci�ngly we will also be adding a Members Only area so please watch this space. Feedback greatly received.

Telford Crisis Support and Childrens Hospital Appeal Dona�ons A huge thank you for the tremendous support you all gave to the two appeals we ran in December to give back to those less fortunate at this difficult �me of year. Steph our Sales Manager ran two appeals, the first one was for food for Telford Crisis Support that she delivered on Thursday. Picture atached is her car full to the brim with food dona�ons.

The second was a xmas present dona�on for the children that will unfortunately be spending �me away in the children’s ward at Telford’s Princess Royal Hospital over xmas. The nurses were speechless and couldn’t believe how much we donated and we’re grateful to you all, special men�on to member Andy Donald and his colleagues at Golden Bear in Telford for their dona�on. It was great to see some of the children on the visit with smiling faces as we dropped off the presents.

The support you showed to both appeals has been simply incredible you should all be very proud!

Titleist club fi�ng day In December we ran our first Titleist club fi�ng demo day. The day was well supported so much so they are visi�ng again in January so be sure to save up the Christmas money for some new golfing toys for 2024 season and I will post more info nearer to the �me.

Trackman Range Bullseye Grand Final Hayden and the range team held the grand final of the monthly bullseye compe��on. The event was well atended, and it was a close affair at the very end. Throughout 2024 we will be hos�ng more monthly compe��ons that are free to par�cipate so be sure to pop up and ask the team for more details, be great to see our members picking up the top prizes. Thank you to TaylorMade our principal sponsor for 2023.

2024 and onwards…….

As the year draws to a close, work behind the scenes doesn’t stop, we’ve been busy the past few months pu�ng together the 2024 financial budget. Whilst supplier increases remain high, infla�on and the latest hit from the government on na�onal minimum and living wage which affects us the hospitality industry greatly, we are again budge�ng for a full year of investment following the success of 2023, in the region of £200,000 subject to 2024 trading condi�ons. Outline projects to name a few will be: • • • • • • • •

Men’s bar toilet refurbishment New farmhouse windows Replacement course Marshall buggy Back of house refurbishment New car park and direc�onal signage

2024 Centre events – What’s On For those that like a night out we have again prepared a full schedule organised by the sales team. Atached is our brochure, don’t forget members get 10% discount off the �cket prices.
