It was an honor to serve as the President of the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson during 2013, our 50th anniversary year. I can say that my fellow Board Members are among the most dedicated and selfless individuals I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Our donors are unquestionably committed to our mission, and our staff exhibits a passion for serving our youth that is second to none. I am humbled by the appreciation that our kids display for what the Clubs provide… a safe place to go afterschool and during the summer, caring and compassionate youth development professionals, and a wide array of programs and activities that are both fun and educational.

I am pleased to report that the Clubs served over 6,000 at-risk youth Club Members in 2013, with an additional 2,000 youth in our community benefitting from programs and activities conducted at our facilities. Our Formula for Impact focuses on the three priority outcomes of Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. The ultimate goal of our programs is to ensure that when Members graduate from high school, they have a plan for their future which may include college, trade school, employment or the military. I look forward to 2014 and deepening our impact and serving even more kids in need. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of the long and rich history of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson.
