SEPTEMBER 2022 OFFICER/COMMITTEE REPORT

I. Officer or Committee Report Summary.

-Basileus Raees attended VSU’s Annual Student Leadership Retreat -6 Past and Present Members of the Alpha Zeta Chapter assisted Freshman on the campus of Virginia State University in moving into their dorm rooms -Soror Ray and Soror Raees performed at VSU’s Yard Fest to welcome everyone baack to school from the sorority. -Entire chapter participated in the Food Bank on VSUs campus -Chapter hosted a Campus Dorm Clean-Up -Anti-Basileus Wells complete her Level II TORCH Certification -Updated the Beta Xi Sigma Spreadsheet with current Alpha Zeta members contact information -Held a working session with the chapter to ensure remaining programs for the semester were planned effectively

II. Recommendations for chapter action.

-In preparation for VSU’s Homecoming (Sat. October 8th), the chapter is requesting assistance with the following items as approved in the Beta Xi Sigma Chapter budget for Homecoming for a DJ and Decorations:

Total: $500 DJ - $250 Decorations - $275

• Balloon Arch & Gold Balloon Boxes & Additional Balloons - $75 • Acrylic Welcome Sign - $100 (This will be for reuse. This cost might not be fully needed

as we are intending to DIY the sign versus paying for it.)

• Sorority Embroidered Tablecloth: $75 • Misc. Decorations - $25

III. Reminders and/or upcoming things to know.

-Strut with Confidence – Wed. September 21st – 7:22 PM – Foster Hall Basement

In collaboration with Urban Couture (A VSU Modeling Troupe), the ladies will host an event to spread awareness of self-love and build a person’s confidence. Attendees will be educated on different tips on how to build their confidence, how to keep it and not let it diminish. Everyone will share their own tips
