Project Description

6 Towers of 77 Sty Tall luxury residential nearing completion at Worli, Mumbai inclusive of an Iconic Trump tower. BES has been appointed by the developer as the facade designers and consultants for scope covering concept to site completion including all towers, clubhouse, retail development. BES scope includes customised designing of bespoke facade systems for windows, fins, metal claddings.

Challenges

Challenging facade for the super tall building, exposed to heavy wind pressures having several towers closely spaced each other. Design challenges covering structural, weather performances, durability of finishes. Architectural design intent are different for each towers proposed with uniquely designed facades.

Very large facade works in terms of value and area, requires highly efficient, standardised and time tested designs

Good understanding of Mumbai weather and wind loads has helped in optimised facades, BES has used CFD wind simulations to arrive highly optimised and best calculated wind pressures, results economical solution with lesser material consumptions, yet robust designs.

Club house facades involves featuring multi facetted planes requires to work in complex 3d forms. BES team has involved in details and produced construction designs which has helped the contractor to implement successfully. 3d models were built by BES for construction conveying architectural design intent in a most practical way. Good understanding of architectural steel works and ability to integrate glazing systems to suit the forms.

Cuddapa Stone facades

Widely available from southern part of India, slate type stones with interesting textures and patterns. Generally not used on facades due to its limited engineering capabilities and unreliable sizes.

Passive Vent - Product Designed by BES

Insipired by the European window features which uses trickle vents, BES team has inidgeniously developed this vent to enhance the indoor ventilations.
