The Office of Residential Life is located in Mather Hall on the 1st floor. The Office staff and staff of residential life are here to assist students with their residential needs and happy to refer students to respective areas of need.

Essentials for Living in Campus Housing: What to bring and what not to bring

Moving to college is such an exciting experience. To assist you in your packing, please reference the information from our website.

Arriving to Campus for Move-In Day

Benedict College has implemented a residential move-in schedule that assists both students and families in transition that affords flexibility, supportive transport, and smooth traffic flow throughout the move-in process.

Checking into your residence hall

On move-in day, students will check into their residence hall using the steps below:

1. Log into your “Tiger Portal”

2. Go to the “Registration Tab”

3. Once the registration tab is open, there will be a pop-up screen saying “Cleared Registration”

4. Show your “Cleared Registration” page to the front desk staff

5. After reviewing your “Cleared Registration” page, the staff will proceed to check you into the residence hall

6. Check-in includes: a. Completing the residential paperwork b. Receiving your room assignment c. Receiving your room key and, d. Moving into your room

Moving in/Unloading/Parking

Students will be allowed a maximum of (2) guests to help with moving into their room. At the time of unloading, the student and guest will have 15 minutes to park in front of the residence hall and unload. Once done unloading or at the 15-minute mark (whichever comes first), the vehicle must then park in the parking garage located at the rear of campus.

Students with move-in issues (delays, rescheduled transportation, etc) or seeking a Saturday move-in date must send an email request to residentiallife@benedict.edu and have completed the registration process.
