LET’S MAKE SURE YOU ARE FINANCIALLY AND ACADEMICALLY CLEARED TO BEGIN THE TERM

All students must complete registration and the clearance process in the Tiger Portal once they are given access by the Admissions Office. The various steps to complete registration are outlined below. More detailed information may be communicated by the various departments to students individually based on need. Once the student completes all steps of the process in the portal, they must confirm all charges to start classes, move into the dorm and have

Admissions

Apply and be accepted to the College for Fall 2023 semester or Spring 2024 (if applying for spring term)

Pay Fees

Application Fee $25

Admission Fee $50 Room Fee $100 (if residing on campus)

Submit transcripts

High School transcript and transcript for other colleges attended (transfer students or dual enrollment)

Academics

Schedules will be inputted for all new students. Transfer student schedules will be inputted after transcripts have been evaluated for possible transfer credit hours.

Financial Aid

Complete FAFSA 2023-2024 – Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This process takes at least 3 to 5 business days to be processed by the federal government.

Please be sure to add the College’s school code : 003420

Complete all financial aid documents once FAFSA is received.

Residential Life/Housing

Complete housing forms (application, housing agreement, housing selection, roommate preference and pay room fee $100 (due every academic year))

Student Accounts

Pay tuition, fees and room & board (if residing on campus). If the financial Aid awarded does not cover the full charges, the remaining balance is due out of pocket. Payment is due in full or an installment plan must be setup before classes start and the student can move into the dormitories. Payment plans can be setup in the portal with our payment plan vendor, Herring Bank. Payments are be made in installments starting as early as June for fall terms and November for spring terms. There are no payment plans for summer school courses.

Health Center Student Accounts

The Student Accounts Office is responsible for all aspects of tuition billing, payment processing, and refunds. The mission of the Student Accounts Office is to provide students, families, and the College community with accurate and timely information in a professional and courteous manner. Students are assigned a counselor based on last name. See counselor assignment and contact information below:

Office of Financial Aid

All students are expected to complete the Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before the start of each academic year in order to be considered for financial assistance. Many scholarships also require the completion of the FAFSA so do not delay. The application can be found at ed.gov. Benedict College’s School Code is: 003420

Tiger Identification Card

All Students are required to maintain a Benedict College Student Identification Card. Say more.

The Information Technology (IT) Office issues an identification card (ID) to each new student during the registration process in the Swinton Center. The student photo will be taken at that time. The IT Department office is located in Bacoats Hall.

The student ID must be shown at many locations and all events on the College Campus for various reasons. All enrolled students need have a college issued ID. The initial ID card is free. The replacement cost for a lost or stolen ID card is $50.00. Visit https://www.benedict.edu/id-card-requestform/ to pay the replacement fee online. The link is also located in the Tiger Portal.
