We have our own fully equipped workshop, enabling us to carry out off-site fabrication of pipework delivered from our factory to site for installation.
Bells MES offers a comprehensive coded welding service. Our fabrication engineers have codings to BS EN standards in accordance with OFTEC and technical standards are regularly retested to ensure the highest possible quality of workmanship. Our experienced fabrication engineers can undertake commercial and industrial projects, either prefabricated in our factory or if necessary on site.
This covers a wide range of materials, thicknesses diameters and specifications, from complex steel fabrication to mission-critical pipeline repair.

Bells MES have successfully delivered a full design & build package for the generator system consisting of plant in basement level 3, a 25 Bar duplex transfer pump to level 41 supplying 6no. 1600 litre fire protected day tanks with another pump set.
This served the 6No. 11KV generators located on level 57 some 260m above street level, with over 300m of fill and dump line pipework installed within this iconic City of London landmark.
We worked closely with our client, other specialists & the professional team to ensure this design was technically compliant & that it was successfully signed off when the system was commissioned.
Bells MES scope included survey works, design, prefabrication, logistics, installation, testing & commissioning of plant skids which was to be located into an operational plantroom.
Our challenge, due to the ‘live’ systems & the restricted space within the plantroom was for us to survey, design & fabricate a bespoke plant skid to limit the space used to de-risk the delivery as well as connect into the existing systems.
The Chilled Water plant skids were fabricated and tested offsite at our Erith factory. The manufacture consisted of pumps, pressurisation, control panels, wiring, valves and associated ancillaries.
Bells MES install, connected to the existing live systems, filled, vented & carried out the water treatment in accordance with the BSRIA requirements with the client’s team to ensure water quality was achieved.
By fabricating off site this reduced working hours on site, managed the risks with working in a ‘live’ plantroom & deliver in accordance with the programme.
Bells MES working collaboratively with the client, design team &/ or our Bells Power Solutions team carried out the survey, design, off site pre- fabrication including quality assurance & testing inspection / sign off, delivery/ offload, installation, test & commission the systems on the following projects: -
