CONECTAREA This museum project is designed to bridge the gap between the new generation and the world of art, providing a space for teenagers and young adults to easily access and enjoy artistic expressions.

SITE ANALYSIS The Rama 8 Bridge in Bangkok is a visually striking cable-stayed bridge spanning the Chao Phraya River. It connects the Thonburi and Phra Nakhon districts and offers stunning views of the river and the city. The surrounding area includes parks and public spaces, making it a popular spot for leisure activities and events. Named after King Rama VIII, the bridge is a crucial transportation link, alleviating traffic congestion in the city and has become an iconic landmark in Bangkok.

PRAYA SIRI IYASAWAN COMMUNITY

The area around the Rama VIII Bridge in Bangkok, Thailand, features a park, including the Rama VIII Memorial Park dedicated to King Ananda Mahidol. The location offers scenic views of the Chao Phraya River and may include cultural sites, urban development, and transportation hubs. The bridge itself serves as a significant landmark with historical and cultural significance.

Praya Siri Iyasawan Community is a residential area near Bangkok's Chao Phraya River and Rama VIII Bridge, characterized by its distinctive blend of contemporary and traditional Thai architecture. It offers a visually appealing experience with cultural and historical significance. Visitors can explore its unique architecture, enjoy picturesque river views, and immerse themselves in its cultural elements

BAAN POON COMMUNITY Baan Poon Community, located near Bangkok's Rama VIII Bridge, is renowned for its distinct architecture, blending traditional Thai elements with a modern touch that draws tourists and photographers. Situated on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River, it offers a unique fusion of contemporary and traditional Thai design, with buildings featuring intricate wood carvings, vibrant colors, and design elements celebrating Thai culture.

WAT DAO COMMUNITY Wat Dao Community, situated near the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, combines modern and traditional Thai architectural elements, providing a distinctive cultural experience for visitors.

The community offers a unique blend of architectural styles, creating a culturally rich atmosphere.

DESIGN CONCEPT After observing the site and its surrounding, there are alot of museum and educational center and temple around the site and our main user of the museum are Teenage and young adult as they can access to art easily so this museum aim to allow new generation to something traditional thing through art. So I pinned the museum, Temple and educational center as I try to connect these 3 parts together.

LANDSCAPE For the landscape design, there is one connecting line the pass through the site connecting the site and surrounding communities so we decided to use this axis to place the bridge in order to bring people to the museum. The museum also provide space for event and activities for visitor.

STRUCTURE We used Insulated glass for safety of people and artwork then we have to used curtain wall spider system to carry all the glass that should be frameless because it’s more suitable with building. Also concrete is one of our main material that used for whole building. At the interactive display building we used Frosted Insulated Glass to decrease natural light that can access to our building.

CIRCULATION There are 2 circulation. Public circulation is for visitor and private circulation for staff and worker in museum. Private circulation will be at the back of the building which is office area and also another building at the back of the site for collective warehouse and workshop area.

PROGRAM ANALYSIS SCULPTURE GARDEN AND RIVER VIEW

Here is the part that people can enjoy river view and art sculpture at the center of building area together because it’s face to river from this angle.

AUDITORIUM, PARKING AND DROP OFF

Car can come in ferom main street and go park at parking downstair also when we have some artwork, car can go directly to collective warehouse. Auditorium is one of the zone that not necessary for allow light to come in or take view, that’s why we organize them to stay at the back of building.

ENTRANCE LOBBY Main entrance for lobby is at the very front building we organize it’s not too big but still can see because we want participant to feel excited when they already come inside more than see everything at first
