The 48th Annual
March 9, 2024
bene ting the Direct Tuition Assistance Fund.
Dear Friends,
Welcome to the 48th Annual Golden Bell Auction!
We are so excited to be with you here tonight, enjoying what I know will be a wonderful evening, full of good food and drink and wonderful people, all coming together for a very worthy cause.
Tonight’s proceeds will support our Direct Tuition Assistance Fund. Your active participation in this evening’s silent and live auctions will meaningfully impact the lives of students who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend Bellarmine due to financial concerns. Distributing well over $6 million to support tuition assistance this year – the most of any of our peer schools – is a significant and worthy challenge, one that we embrace whole-heartedly because it speaks to the core Ignatian value of seeing God in all people. Through this fund, a far greater reach of students can benefit from an education in a diverse community.
I am grateful to those who have generously supported the auction in ways great and small—our underwriters, hosts of our gift-gathering parties, and those who have donated items for the silent and live auctions. You, as well as our many volunteers, make this evening memorable and successful. Thank you to our Boards of Trustees and Regents for their stalwart support, and to Andy Schatzman, chair of our Trustees, and Tom McGannon, chair of our Regents, for their leadership and service to Bellarmine. Finally, thanks to the members of our Office of Advancement for planning and executing tonight’s event.
Once again, welcome and thank you for being here with us this evening. Your support is a critical component of carrying out our mission to form young men for and with others. God bless and Go Bells!
Gratefully,
