Let TED talk hosts Michael Tindy and Abel Matters be your guides to surviving every possible apocalypse. From blatant robot takeovers to dysfunctional zombie survivalist groups, from cute and deadly alien invasions to bloodthirsty kittens? Okay, so the post-apocalypse world will be a little confusing. If we make it, which we probably won't. But this play will help! We promise.

Humanities Department Chairperson’s Message

The Humanities Department is especially proud to support the production of All the Ways the World Will End, But Not You, which features a cast comprised exclusively of middle school students. Together with their dedicated director, Isidora Ulloa, these students have been diligently preparing for this week’s production. Filled with humor and witty dialogue, the scenes will undoubtedly captivate the audience, because the students have worked very hard to perfect their timing and performance skills. The talent and commitment of our middle school students runs very deep!

The arts continue to be a crucial component of a Belen Jesuit graduate’s well-rounded education. We are optimistic that the young men in this show will be the future of our drama program, and continue to grace the stage with their presence in the coming years. We are blessed to have the very talented cast of All the Ways the World Will End, But Not You present their play this evening in the Roca Theater at the Ignatian Center for the Arts.

All of the endeavors undertaken by the Humanities Department would not be possible without the unwavering support of Belen Jesuit President, Father Guillermo García-Tuñón, S.J.; Principal, José Roca; Assistant Principal of the Middle School, Patty Bustamante; and Assistant Principal of the High School, Olivia Zarraluqui. We are eternally grateful for their endorsement.

Director’s Note

Welcome to Belen Jesuit Preparatory School’s production of All The Ways The World Can End, But Not You. We are ecstatic to have you join us tonight for an evening filled with laughter, chaos, rogue PowerPoint slides, and the impending doom of the world's end.

While the actual end of the world is no laughing matter, these students have learned how to overcome adversity through these short vignette stories. Behind the ridiculousness of the scenes regarding aliens, robots, and cannibals, this show contains lessons paramount for students in the process of growing up. This play, under the guise of comedy, is about supporting your friends to do what is right, recognizing the dangers of peer pressure, the difficulty of accepting that something may be too good to be true, and the devastating effects of dishonesty.

All of these students have gone above and beyond with their dedication to this play and the theatre program. From the first day of rehearsal to now, All the actors have worked together to grow as an ensemble and develop themselves as true theatre artists. Their influence is throughout this entire production - they created the PowerPoints, their movement onstage, the posters, ideas for the sound effects, and so much more. This show is theirs.

We hope that this comedic journey will not only entertain you, but also remind us all to find joy and laughter in even the most challenging circumstances. Thank you so much for supporting these hardworking artists!
